B'mer Obsessed - S1000R

Oh dont get me wrong. I can see how the rr is too much or not comfortable. Its just the look I love.
White is always the best choice. That said the blue is just different and I think it turned out really nice

Congrats on the new bike!!!

PS, Ignore the haters, you've got yourself one sweet ride.

Thanks Mike

Roomie ... you're right, the RR is damn sexy ... too bad I'm not good enough to ride it !!! Every time my husband is on the track with it I suffer envy, envy, envy

Congrats. The waiting sux but it will give you and your husband time to build a bigger garage... If you want to store the HP2 somewhere I have some space...

Have you considered the Burgman 650? It slots right in between the Yamaha R1 and S1000R. Automatic, no shifting. It's the way of the future. Shifting can be very distracting, people never seem to consider that. If you need advice how to get your deposit back, ask around.

Perfect ... we need the space. Better yet, why don't you buy it and we won't have to worry about it anymore !!!

The rr is plain hot. After seeing it at the manufacturers show and actually getting to really check it out I will have one in the next year or two. Even the red white and black I found nice

I am in the market for new bikes as well. What is list price? What would I have to pay for one, just a mere mortal.

Yeah, she has been out on the S1000RR a few times and called it some not-so-pretty names. I think the S1000R will be perfect for her. And for all the tire kickers, the S1000R is within $1000 of the Kawi or the Honda, with a lot more going for it. And Aprilia will be better once they have a dealer network, right now it's pretty sparse. But the Tuono is a nice bike.
Thanks for the reference to that thread on getting deposit refunds, we are not dealing with Kahuna so we are OK.

Base price is $14,700 ... it goes up from there based on what you put on it

Cool bike, but 4 cylinder "street fighters" just don't have the mojo...

Oh so they sold her a Super Duke 1290 then?

I didn't care for the Super Duke looks-wise. Very unassuming. The Bimmer has that cool mutant look to it.

For real? That BMW looks so plain, it's almost a Honda.

This thing looks like its about to steal your lunch money and have sex with your sister...
