blackberry 10

I think the only way someone is going to take it to the next level is a combination phone tablet that can expand and retract from full size to pocket size. That would be cool and I would pay a lot for it. All the other changes and new stuff being offered is just noise and icing

Here it is, a concept vid from a company RIM bought in 2010,

Pretty cool stuff.....

And will get lost in a sea of other snappy commercials.

I just hope they won't be showing the features of phone or anything silly like that. Unless they have some sort of amazing and memorable ad, my original opinion remains unchanged.

I disagree...the commercials are now just as important as the game itself as they are all very well produced. This year it's brother vs brother...and should be the most watched game in history.

not a single thing RIM about that...

and once again Samsung leading the way by 2011, not just imagineering like a Sheridan student Minority Report 1st year project.

Even earlier in 2010 at the same time as that silly college student video here is Samsung kickin a$z

Yup, RIM is all about research and development!

Ok, I take my comments back and underestimated things.

Its been mentioned that up to this point, RIM already received millions $$$ worth of free advertising and buzz building as news sites, tech sites and social websites are making a big deal about them running their first SuperBowl commercial.

Any publicity is good publicity.

Brilliant!

Don't watch the game expecting to see R.I.M. commercials............thanks to the CRTC, you won't see any of them until they come up on youtube.

edit (from a SunnY S link) - my bad:
This 30-second commercial must have cost them a pretty penny and will air both in Canada and the United States.

I might be getting it because of a simple problem with Android.

All the phones are ridiculously big. My fingers are already kind of smaller then average and I want to be able to use only 1 hand to use the phone.
If I cannot do that I do not want the phone. The Z10 looks like it is smaller then any android phone out there and just as powerful.

If that is the case I will want one.

Here is a proper CGI vision of future tech, done right. Question is, who is in the best position now to blaze into this future? My guess is that companies with vertical integration across all platforms coupled with a leading display giant firm.

Someone who can spend more than complementary Starbucks on local students to illustrate this vision might help also. Still think RIM can keep up when their vision is a rinky dink version of what another company has already been demonstrating in the tech flesh?

Anyone catch the vision of the expandable phone in the airport scene? Fold, magnetically attach or split for versatility, unlike that (RIM's subsidiary's) video of the magically growing screen with novice CGI fudging it along.

Yet another reason why I have no faith in their R&D and vision.

Are your apple stocks depended on how many posts you have in this thread? We get it...you're not buying the phone. Move along...nothing to see here.

SAMSUNG
They make it they bake it and they sell it plus they have the money to support the lifecycle from a - z.

SAMSUNG
They make it they bake it and they sell it plus they have the money to support the lifecycle from a - z.

Except they have little to no control over the Android OS and are running scared, because Google will eventually keep the cream of the OS to themselves and introduce their own line of hardware leaving Samsung out in the cold, and let everybody else take the watered down OS versions.

Samsung are looking introduce an all new OS called Tizen, even with all the money in the world, it better be one piece of fine work and marketing if they want to gain any traction with it.

.

oops double post.

Ready to blow up this thread tomorrow? The whole thread has been building to this moment! Who's pumped? At the very least it will end the 9 pages of speculation and possibly silence a bunch of us.
