Sprint has announced they'll be carrying a new full touch upscale BB to be launched in the second half of 2013. Google "blackberry Aristo" if you want to know about it.

Things are certainly looking up for BBRY, esp if they have a decent US launch.

Next few quarters will be interesting to watch.

Positive article on BBRY in Barrons over the weekend too. (they don't come easy)

I'd still wager on QCOM buying them out...........just from what I've gathered.
Now with Lenovo stepping up (possibly) there may be more aquirers (is that a word?) coming forward.
Bidding war? Must wait to see what the CRTC has to say about Betty being sold to foreign owners.

I had to ask to speak with "the retention department" 2 years ago to get the same deal + a free iPhone4 using my "fido dollars". I'm sure you can even haggle something better these days if your contract is running out.

Competition is finally starting to come through.

Thanks, the half-wife showed me that, good deal but I don't need that much data. I still have a year on my bell contract, but I can switch my features/contract at any time within bell, at no charge. Also comes with the picture/vid messages.

Me? Wanting a cell phone? You must have me confused with another 'Gary'?
To invest, or not to invest in the company is my only concern.

Oddly - the ebay ad knows build numbers on red phones. Wonder where that info came from?

Did you see the s/p spike upon the release?
I would have thought a huge after hours spike too, but it's not happening. (BBRY.O)

(BTW - Analysts are nothing more than comic relief).

edit: the "What's app" did nothing for the s/p today - matter of fact it was down, but I doubt "what's app" had anything to do with that.

Rats, I need to be able to digest news quicker before the friggin stock market reacts.

This morn : Here was a telling sign buried deep in the Barron's article : "given order patterns to parts suppliers for the recently introduced Z10 handset, which show a “significant surge in orders in the past 30 days.”

Later this aft : RIM makes the big 1 mil annoucement. Boom goes the stock.




EDIT: Apparently its AT and T. Their preorders are "strong" for this device.
