Is the new V-strom of the table?

I don't hate it...

maybe they will do like honda and stop selling in europe and keep pushing the same old model in NA for a few more years
I think the same happened to the busa in other parts of the planet?
They seemed excited in india about the '22 "making a come back".

The FJR, like the Super Tenere, is on its way out and I think the 2021 is the last year it's going to be available, so no money being spent adding features on a bike to be removed from Yamaha's lineup.
Never had the chance to ride any of those bikes but I know that the FJR is a great bike and well loved by many.
Sad that it's getting the boot.

I think shane is done with vstroms for a while, wants something sexy, characterful and more stomp
Pretty much. They have treated me very well and I will come back to one if I'm disappointed in whatever else i get, but not likely.
The 1050 Strom is a vastly improved bike, but just looking for something different.

I like the new KLR's. I had one from 2001 and it was a gutless bike that only it's mother could love.

If i were looking to buy a new bike right now, it would be between the Suzuki and the MTS V4. The Suzuki does everything the Duc does (sorta) but $10k cheaper.
At the risk of sounding obvious you’re pretty much comparing both ends of the spectrum. ?

Does the v4 do things that much better to justify 10 grand? Probably subjective.

No street-cred when you pull up to the gelataria in Woodbridge tho...

"Brah! You got a 'Zookee? Why not Panigale! ESSSS!!!!"

This is like sayin "I cant decide If I want to go to a Michelin star restaurant, or dumpster dive.
The dumpster does everything the Michelin does, but is much cheaper"

On a serious note though, if budget is the issue, get the tracer GT, incredible value, amazing engine, all the modern electronic gizmos etc etc

A lot of little thoughts went into my comparison. Dealer network. Practicality. Self esteem!
AND, i have never needed 100hp (let alone 170hp) on any streetbike. Horsepower always comes with a cost. Fuel economy being one of them. Having to fill up every 170km is a pia.

Just to be clear, the MRA Sport I had on my Tracer wasn't extremely short - not bikini-fairing short. It was just the right size to let the clean air through. Plus on the Tracer you can adjust the screen height - below it is in the lowest position.

Is that a 2020? And is the windshield smoked? My '19 has a clear screen, I'd love to get a smoked one....

Power is not all bad.

Me, when I first got into motorcycling: "I like twisting the throttle and feeling like my arms are gonna get ripped off!!!!"

Me, today: "I like not having to shift as often."
