BC 299 km/h suspect not guilty.

The video is absolutely insane.... weaving in and out of traffic at very high speeds....

Meh, looks like a pretty standard hooligan run. Car's dont change lanes that quickly, pretty easy to avoid. Still think anyone stupid enough to take video of themselves breaking the law deserves what they have coming to them!

Well, I'm sure the thief, found the key, found the bike, stole the bike, took the video, posted it on his you tube account and then left the bike back in his garage, undamaged.

he got off lucky, bike was his mom's and she got a few grand in fines as the owner.

He has no claim to the bike, had a suspended license and avoided a royal assraping.

You know, now that it's all finished. I am kind of glad that he got off. There was no real proof that he did this riding.
We can rest assured that justice was actually done.
I have always believed that they cannot just fabricate evidence. This is proof.

But in the end, he should be nailed to the cross for this.
That was just ridiculous riding, that endangered the general public.

Will he ride like this again?
Probably.
Will he die doing this again?
Probably.

unless you think his mom was riding the bike, not sure why anybody would say that justice was done.

Obvious outcome to the case. I doubt the media will spread the news of his acquittal.

no need to doubt it, thats how I found out.

He had a good and expensive lawyer, they couldn't prove he was the driver, but he'll still be left with a crapload of expenses. Not complete justice for being an idiot but close enough for me.

Darwin will likely sort him out given enough time.

Every supporter would change their tune if someone they know where injured/killed by a ********* riding like that (or generally like a *********).

absolutely

but he rider would also pay, maybe with his life as well.

Not guilty means squat. The legal process alone was punishment enough. Hopefully he learned some life lessons.

Justice isn't about punishing the person who was most likely to have committed a particular crime, but the actual person who committed it.

Ya I dunno any more, the article describes it as his bike.

I was talking about impound lot.

As for this case, for the sake of argument lets say his bike was taken from him without his consent and he found it back. Its still his property. What gives the police the right to take it from him ?
Assuming he reported it stolen at some point then the cops might have a rule that exempts the confiscation from applying to him, otherwise I imagine insurance would be involved and pay him if he had theft coverage.

Regardless of the legalities it's one more nail in the coffin for reasonable insurance rates and any sway we might get from the general public.

Nice to see some intelligent people on the forum. Careful though, might start to scare the panel of experts we have residing here.

Legalize lane splitting! While you're at it legalize all self entitled behaviour on Ontario roads. Screw everybody!

One more nail in the coffin perhaps or the fact that this is national news indicates how rare it is. I'd be more concerned about all the regular sportbikers doing a piddly buckfourty/fifty everyday. And looking queer doing it. It's all about optics.

Is that your catch phrase? lol
Its so ****ing annoying having to read that stupid "crying baby" phrase in every post. i think he is going to be the second person I put on ignore, funny thing is that both people on my ignore list have a name of Roonie or roomie
