anyone switched from gas to diesel car and never looked back?

Price of Diesel is higher, offsets the lower consumption. I was expecting diesel motorcycle engine conversion lol

I think that's in regards to using regular gas motor oil which has reduced quantities of 2 (iirc) additives which are harmful to cat converters. The cams and lifter or rocker interface in modern gas engines can tolerate that. Some vintage race cars with flat tappets use diesel oil for that reason. Read that on line couple years ago. I use diesel oil in the bikes.
