Anyone here work in sales at Ford?

Does anyone here work in sales at Ford within a reasonable distance from the Waterloo area? If you do, pm me with your dealer name/location and email address. Looking to order a Maverick for work. Might as well give the sale to someone in the bike community.

And for anyone feeling the need to chime in:
Yes, I know there’s a long wait, I’m just planning ahead.
Yes, I know it’s not a “real truck”. It’s joining a 1500 and 2500HD so I don’t need it to do “real truck things”.

so you getting a 6 inch lift or portal axles?

I was told by my local dealer it'd be 6 months before I could order a 2024 and after that who knows.
His experience is a current 12-14 month wait. If you can find something that suits 'on the lot' just buy it.

the onlyl model i'd buy....

it's just a marketing tool. yes, it'll get you out of stickier situations than the regular truck but as with in the minibronco, the clutch based AWD will not handle any extended or even slightly challenging offroad stuff without overheating.

it's not an issue because it's not what the truck was designed for at all but truck guys like feeling 'offroad' capable. (hence my earlier question)

you also need obligatory fake amber clearance lights like a raptor or HD truck while being half the width.

I was told 24-36 month wait for new orders. Doesn’t matter to me really, the vehicle it’s replacing is a 2016 so I’ve still got time before I “need” something.

I bought a bronco last fall from Kennedy Ford in Oakville , I found them very straight to deal with and bought there mostly because they have a good service dept , which may not help you coming from Waterloo , but I had a good experience

There are a few decent dealers close by but I figured if someone here worked in sales they could have an easy sale.
So far no takers. I’ll leave it for a few days and if there’s still nothing I’ll just place the order at my local dealer. I haven’t bought a new Ford before so it’s not like I have a relationship with the local place already.

it just looks more proper and masculine than the girly lesser versions.

having said that, Id still opt for Ridgeline, better vehicle in every metric except fuel perhaps.

edit: EPA is virtually identical on both, despite Ridges bigger smoother V6

- Starting price for the Ridgeline is 28.6% higher than the nicely optioned XLT that I’ve priced out.
- Fuel mileage, according to EPA combined economy, is 21% more than the Maverick. What numbers were you looking at to come up with “virtually identical”? That’s only 7.4% better than the EPA rating for my 5.3L V8 Silverado.

price diff about 20 percent according to my calcs, worth it for a far superior and premium vehicle with no fear reliability.

work a little harder....

Honda Ridgeline Sport HPD

PRICE
Base/As Tested: $40,515/$40,910 US

EPA FUEL ECONOMY
Combined/City/Highway: 21/18/24 mpg

Ford Maverick Tremor

PRICE
Base/As Tested: $31,665/$32,990 US

EPA FUEL ECONOMY
Combined/City/Highway: 21/20/24 mpg

They are putting more than one AWD system into the mini bronco ?, my understanding is the Badlands version is different from the outer banks , and more off road ready .

USD pricing is useless in this situation as we are in Canada. My pricing calculations are in CAD and compared the base price Honda to the exact XLT model I have priced out, which is what was stated.
For fuel economy you have chosen the Maverick model with the worst fuel mileage in the entire lineup to better align with your position. Talk about cherry-picking your stats!
The numbers I provided directly related to the Maverick model I have priced out and were compared to the base model Honda.

You can go away now.

I'd get the Ridgeline too.......wait....I did already.
I can buy anything with a blue oval on it, at Dealer Cost, but I choose not to, since I prefer & enjoy quality.
The Ridgeline isn't cheap to run, but it's not a deal breaker.
I don't do very much hwy, mostly city. Here's my latest real world mileage....Screenshot_20230210_173049_Samsung Internet.jpg

Jeeeesus! Your mileage is worse than my 2500 HD with a V8 diesel!
You and SunnyD are doing a really bad job of trying to promote the Ridgeline!

Worse than my first car. 72 Buick Skylark V8 4 barrel.

The model maverick I chose was the most desirable model. I stated why earlier.

The EPA numbers tell the story as both models are compared under same conditions.

The longevity, fit and finish, overall quality (Mav is made in mexico) and resale/residual of the Ridge will long make up for the price diff.

If you plan on keeping it for a long period, the 26 percent spread over years is negligible

I know, it's not good..but.....it's been used 98.6425% of the time for city / grocery getting and dump runs since covid, no hiway. When it's cold out, the auto starter is my friend. I waste gas for 10 minutes while it warms up. When it's hot out, same thing, so the a/c works 10 minutes and no mileage rolls up.
Normal use would increase my numbers drastically.

You must have room for this! Don't let it get away.
