Any Photographers (Pro/Am) here?

I have some pictures developed from Kodachrome slide film that (to me) are better than a lot of my digital stuff. There’s just something about the clarity and colour depth.
The speed on that was 25 if I am not mistaken. The colours so warm. I have slides from the 70s and the Kodachrome slides looked mint but the Ektachrome ones have faded a bit.
Great thread.

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
Give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day, oh yeah
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama, don't take my Kodachrome away

I’ve been a serious amateur photographer for many years. I was also the person who did all product photography and shots for corporate use at a shop I worked at.

Here’s a shot of Elian Donan Castle in Scotland I took a few years back. Posting this off my iPad and not my desktop where the original is…

That’s seriously good.

My next project is to get set up for star trails and some astro photography. I just need the time to drive out to the nearby dark skies area and learn as I have some good lenses for this. I have a pro 1.8 fisheye and a pro 7-14 f2.8 that should work very well. Micro 4/3 is limited by sensor size but the results from newer cameras with decent processing is impressive.

Used to be huge into photography of all and any landscapes.

Now with kids and obligations that has gone by the wayside but this thread makes me want to find my M4/3 Olympus EPL1(?) as that has been great for my uses.

Takes great pics and I have about 4 lenses with it. Love the 25mm lens.

Thanks very much! I was very proud of that shot.
You’ll have to post up some of your dark sky shots sometime.
I recently saw a Toronto skyline shot that was 24 photos stitched into 1. Basically, the camera was on a tripod and didn’t move. A timer was set to take a shot each hour. They then combined the shots. Was a 24” wide image all said and done. Each hour had 1“ of the final product. To further explain, 5am had inch 5-6, 6am had inch 6-7 etc. So the edges of the image were night time, middle was noon.

That's an incredible shot!
Hope you don't mind, but I think that'll be my new desktop background

That is a beautiful shot!

Yeah I've been shocked too and I only moved to the SD2020 as it had the same form factor as my previous.
This from the Lumix Gx7 with the Lumix 20mm prime.

Mount Doom an hour ago. I suspect the camera would have done as well.
It's when I'm shooting birds and wildlife the phone can't cut it.
It even does low light better than the Gx7 with a 20mm prime :(
Not a fair comparison but .....this on the SE2020

I was talking last night with a couple that are in a “ camera group” and do a lot of bird watching outings . Film is making a comeback like vinyl records .

I just upgraded my phone. It’s amazing how far these things have come in terms of cameras. This has a 200 MP main camera. Plus a bunch of other stuff.
Which phone?

Here you go...
Couple extras too. The other photo of Elian Donan was before the really dark clouds rolled in. Was about a 15 minute difference.

Let me know your thoughts!

2 Eilan Donan photos
1 of a Canal in Venice
1 from a mountain top in Austria.
