I am always surprised to read when someone replaces something as a truck with something like Bolt EV .... I guess you didn't need the truck in the first place?
In my experiences most people have an everyday vehicle that they don't really need.

Like a motorcycle?
not looking forward to winter tires / cold weather as I can see my range dropping each day.
No, the truck (Chevy Colorado) was our more efficient vehicle so I used it since my commute was longer. Our other car was a 2006 CTS-V, so less efficient and needed premium fuel. Still have the truck.
Had the Bolt for about a week now and couldn't be happier. I can charge at work all day (L1/12amps) and that gets me back about half of my daily commute. L2 charging at home takes a little less than 3 hours. Total electricity cost is about $1.20/day vs. $18.50/day in gas for my truck.
Having a great time driving it too. Instant torque is awesome and the ride and handling are quite good.
Expect a drop of 15-20 km's all other things being equal. Turn on the heater and it's much more.
Awesome. Huge savings...and some out there still believe that EV's cost as much as an ICE to operate.
We are seeing drops now for sure but my wife is still getting close to 40-45KM/day which isn't bad for a gen1. We do religiously precondition in the AM on L2 though so that helps.
That's 304 days & 11,824 km's driven while using 27.88 litres for a rating of 0.24 l/100 km. Yes, I love this car!
Even though I had 89 km worth of gas left, I decided to fill up the Volt for the first time since Jan. 9th. That's 304 days & 11,824 km's driven while using 27.88 litres for a rating of 0.24 l/100 km. Yes, I love this car!
Have to ask, since you go that long on the same tank do you add Stabil or the equivalent to each tank?

I've never heard of the button that PP mentions before gassing up?? The only button is the fuel door release on the driver door inside (perhaps it's part of that process?)
Look at your Dashboard next time you hit it – it's specifically displays "please wait to Fuel" or something along that lines when you press the button – this is the system bleeding off the vacuum. That's all it does actually, the fuel door itself is a manual release.
