In all my years of working in the auto industry, in all the assembly plants I've seen, in all the supplier plants I've seen ... I have never seen anything like this. Everyone has a scrap bin here and there ... "stuff happens" ... but not like this.

No kidding. My cousin lives up there. She got in trouble with the police while using an axe to open her front door after a separation. Her soon to be ex-husband had changed the locks on their house. She explained to the cops that it was her house and if she chose to use an axe as her key, that was her prerogative. Cops strongly disagreed.

"Fuel type: Gasoline" and it shows it plugged in ...

Instrument cluster shows a tachometer showing 800 rpm in park and with a normal fuel gauge ...

I don't know what's going on there, but it sure looks like funny business.

There have been some aftermarket E-series conversions over the years. How well those were done, and how they perform after this many years ... who knows.

Says RANGE IS AROUND 120 KM WITH FULL CHARGE in the ad, leading one to believe it's a shade tree conversion or some kind of home made hybrid abomination.

The E-Focus had a range of about 150-200km brand new…so 120km for THAT thing, with that weight and age…doesn’t sound far off.

I sure as hell wouldn’t trust it though.
 
There was a company that made Chevy pickup truck EV conversions as well for a few years as well. Wonder if this is one of those sorts of things.

I actually root for these underdog ev makers. This is their best chance to compete against legacy auto makers by introducing clean sheet technology and fresh approach to design and engineering.

Unfortunately, its a lot harder (and way more pricey) than they realize from concept to production.

Seems like software is the biggest hurdle.
