Agree. It was just 0-100mph-0 test that has been done for a while. They just did it in a building. I have little doubt the plaid will be faster (at least for a single run). It's also easy to use a bigger building to break the record. Just marketing and theatre, not really anything to see here.

Easy choice for me. The one that is not down for six months after a fender bender. I can only imagine how poorly Teslas will age. They will all end up in the scrap bin as wear items like the screen that controls everything wear out and are unavailable from Tesla and locked to require permission from the mothership to replace (which they won't provide).

Good thing is if the cop isn’t looking, no roar from the engine to catch his attention or give an indication of speed.

My buddys Y makes a cool noise when it starts up, like a jet engine firing up. Very cool.

6.5 seconds to 100 km/h (Chevrolet Bolt) is faster than any 4-wheeled contraption that I've ever owned. That will be sufficient. And it doesn't cost the better part of what my house cost, and it will blend in (I'm not one to want a flashy car). And the bumpers won't fall off.

Majority lease these things rather than buying outright. in that case, I wouldn't worry so much about long term ownership.

I'd take the Tesla hands down no contest.

Definitely has more wow factor and street cred than anything else on the market. The Taycan looks like every other garden variety porsche

After 3 years, just hand it back and get the next latest and greatest. And few can deny that the Tesla just keeps getting better and faster.
