Precisely. The reason most ppl will buy a taycan. Your post is proof.

On top of that, you are comparing a 5 year old or more Tesla model? In auto years, that's a relic. 5 YEARS and it's still a compelling vehicle and relevant.

Let's have this discussion when gen2 arrives which will be soon...

Stop now while you still have a shred of dignity. You act like there's no other 5 year old cars out there that are still performance head turners outside of your (kinda ugly IMNSHO) saloon car. The front ends look like they gave an 8 year old a vat of Play Doh and told her to go nuts.



Yeah, it will only do 2.2. But it will do 2.2 all day long. None of that stupid cool down and prep mode to do a second launch (my car just did a 1.8!!!!.........It has to sit in the shade and sulk till tomorrow now, though.) And it will destroy a Model S in the slalom. You know. Curves. The fun bits. Anyone can drive in a straight line, blah, blah, blah.

Easy. The 5+ year old design and electrics are still cutting edge compared to the competition right now.

Simply saying the next gen tesla's will take it to the next level. Like I said. Let's have this discussion when generation Plaid is released shortly
 
A Tesla is the "3 months experience rider on a gixxer 1000rr" of cars. Can go really fast in a straight line & seems impressive. But when you get down to it in something actually competitive aside from a drag strip, gets passed by everyone in the corners. Even the old fart on a Goldwing who knows how to slap his bike around.

The brand spanking new US$140k Tesla Model S Plaid+ looks just like the 2012 Model S 75 that someone down the street just bought at a used-car lot.

Bikes afforded by not spending money on cars.

I'm also more of a construction-boots, hard-hat, yellow-vest, and jeans type, than a fancy suit and tie and dress shoes type.
 
I have stuff I need and want to do out in my garage, but yeah, trying to heat it is hopeless - might as well fart in a windstorm.

I have one of those propane radiant heaters that you mount to a propane tank and point in the direction you want heat. Unfortunately the last time I used it while working in my garage on something I accidentally melted a few things it got too close to....it's kind of a "Turn it down really low and you just keep freezing for the most part" or "turn it up to maximum and watch things reach spontaneously combust, but hey, at least you're warm. Before YOU spontaneously combust" thing. ;)

They spew out so much water vapor that I'm not sure they help.
