That helmet looks awesome. I have the 5 Continents GpTech and it's a a great helmet, I have had three AGV helmets (one of them is the Blade) and I like how they fit. When shopping for a new helmet it's where I'll look first. Hopefully the price will drop on this one considerably...

Never had one before, I want to order the black/yellow version of this one. How was the GP tech with noise?

To be fair I don't have much to compare it to in terms of noise. My last helmet was a Shoei. It was a nice helmet too but its been long enough that my memory of it is too foggy for a proper comparison. I wear earplugs as well.
I can tell you that the wind noise doesn't seem excessive. There are no annoying whines or whistles from the helmet or visor. That is on a naked bike too. It does feel very light and just seems to fit my head "right".
I've found some helmets don't seem to cover my chin area enough. I remember trying on a Suomy and feeling like my chin was exposed. Too bad, they have some pretty cool designs. I've read good things about the value of HJC. I like the looks of the Ben Spies replicas. Anyone have any experience with them and can compare to the higher end helmets?
With his 5 continents design is my favourite helmet. I wear AGV helmets and really want this one, but i don't know how i feel about riding with someone else's number on my helmet.

I got the GP Tech 5 Continents and the Moon X-Lite 802. Comparing one against the next, each has their draw backs, only exposed by the other. They also both have their advantages!
With the X-lite 802 and was impressed with the aerodynamics, weight, field of vision and manoeuvrability over the GP Tech. The GP Tech has superior comfort, sound absorption, build quality and good aerodynamics and weight also. The Pista seems like it will be the best of both worlds and I'm drooling over that prospect!
Can't speak for Arai though, but AGV has always been better priced, and if they combine all of the above in the Pista, even 800 Euro is a good price!

lot of cash but sick helmet!! carbon is expensive, ff you look at that fugly Arai carbon helmet for 4 Gs, it's beauty and the beast

Love the helmet shape, love that carbon look, not a fan of being a fanboi of any driver (car, bike, or whatever).
Pity.
If it comes in other patterns, I may be tempted.

did you pre order it off the champion site? The price of the helmet increased to 980 Euro on their site... with shipping/duty/taxes/customs you're gonna get screwed. You should think about waiting until this helmet reaches North American distributors.

Riders Choice told me last week AGV will no longer be supplying Canada! I can't confirm that however.
If you wait for that you will never get the helmet

Yes I know, the price before was an expected price, all the people that pre-ordered it will pay that price. They changed the price because they had a meeting at AGV this week and they got the official final price, other dealers won't be cheaper. The design will stay exactly like on the picture on their website... They ship their helmets free (worldwide) and the price was including taxes, so the 980 is the final price... If I'll have to wait on the helmet reaching North America, that's always half a year later than Europe! I want this baby when it comes out... thnx for pointing out possible risks though!
The 980 is including everything (taxes, free shipping) I will write a review when I get though... can't wait for this thing to come in. Hopefully it will look as sick as it looks on the pictures... Will keep you guys posted
