amicable breakups...do they exist?

And after a couple years of testing the theory out and thinking about it, I honestly think that it's true.

A couple of years and you thought about it. Awesome.

As long as the house is in your name you are good, common law means next to nothing in Ontario if you don't have kids together.

Wouldn't that just be mean? Since he's likely on here still stalking me?! There's not enough blacklisting and blocking mechanisms around to get rid of him...he's like a roach...he just doesn't die!!

Post it here and he will disappear, or maybe u enjoy the stalking :)

It's much easier being friends with a girl you're not attracted to. Lately I've been doing the girl thing and putting chicks that are clearly into me but I'm not interesting in banging them in the friend zone. It's friggin great!!! When I'm bored I call em up, we hang out, no games, no bs, cause we're JUST FRIENDS. Maybe they're partially hanging out with me cause they're hoping "something" is going to happen, but what do I care? I'm out having fun! Plus, I've bult a couple very legit friendships this way. I can see why so many girls do this to guys! lol

With an ex, clearly you're physically attracted to her since you've hit it before. Much more complicated....I don't do it. :p

Two questions:

1. I thought u were a man-whore and bang everything with 2 legs (no offense here).
2. What do you and your friends that are girls talk about? Cooking and Gardening?

I've never had good friends who were girls, so I can't understand that.

Get some...they usually have an endless supply of 'cute friends' they're glad to hook you up with. Shallow? Maybe, but way better than on-line dating!

+1000000

cept on occasion my female friend would try and pick up the same girl i was interested in. she had good taste though.

LOL I do this too. Whenever there's a movie I want to see or a wedding I need to attend, they come in handy!

Most girls, their friends are on the same level as them. Meaning same level of attractiveness and similar personalities, so if that "friend" does not work for u, most likely their friends might not work.

Note I'm saying "most"

1. Couldn't be further from the truth. I date a lot sometimes, yes, but mostly because from my experience women are so damn fickle that I cannot in my right mind put even an once of faith (at least thinking long term) in any woman I'm trying to date early on unless it turns serious.....which it very very rarely does, further reinforcing my views. Yes, I like having a "backup" (or two).....it's bad but it's more of a product of necessity because of my views on dating, not because I'm a man whore. Did that make any sense at all? Probably not....in did in my head.

2. The same thing I talk about with guys. Music; movies, stupidity, and yes, even people we're dating and sex. WHat do I talk about with guys? NOt like I have any guy interests? Sports? LOL, I couldn't give two ***** about sports......serious. Women are people like us guys...just much less mentally stable and devoid of the ability to think logically (I keed ladies, I keed)

Fair enough!
I guess to each their own. I think I should try making more lady friends instead of horsing around with other guys....but wait, that would require me to have a sensitive side so I don;t offend them

OP- Think you are making the right move here...from my experience....staying friends can happen but not usually until there has been some space....I like you am probably more interested in settling and my last ex was not..... I own house etc etc.....yeah gardening help and paint help is great...same way I would like to have some help with hanging crap on my walls, and fixing things...but to me its not worth it.....there is quite a sense of accomplishment in doing the stuff on your own....and its not worth dragging her along for the ride either if you are both at separate places in your lives. Instead concentrate on making friends....

I think the better question is do good guys actually exist?!

We absolutely do. However the good girls tend to be able to keep us around. :)

Hey OP, How Big Is Your ... House?

I thought that place was closed down? Perhaps just renos... Use to live at Egg and MtP, went there a few good times with the wife, great bar :)

The cougars are still there last I heard. lol Went there once when I was 20 with a bunch of friends, never have I laughed so hard in my life.

Deli has been closed since March.

Pity wings were good and they served a good pint of Guinness.

Damn, just saw this now... My sis just said it was supposed to be closed for a month for renos... I don't even want to know why my sis knows this. lol

Haven't read the thread but there is no such a thing, one of the two or both always turn into an ******* to the other. There is no reason to stay friends, I gave it a try the last time and just got a slap in the face. Don't even try

Yeah, very very rarely can you remain friends... I'm friends with one of my exes from years ago, and that's it.

My last gf that left me while I was on tour has recently decided to start texting me, being friendly, even suggesting that I bring her to a race weekend with me. I keep shutting down her attempts at friendship as I'll be the one ****** off in the end.
