Someone will post a thread about something, and it get some great comments. But you'll have a thread with 10 comments, and 150 views. Are you kidding me? One hundred and fifty people read through this entire thread and only ten of them took the time to actually leave a comment. Why would 140 people even read a thread if they don't have anything to say about it? That just seems like a huge waste.

I post about interesting topics for my own enjoyment, just as much as everyone else's. But I'm starting to get pretty offended that so many people aren't brave enough to say something, even if it's "Wow that's cool!" or "You should have done it this way". I don't care, just say whatever is on your mind, instead of leering over a thread without contributing at all.

With all the raving and ranting going on, this thread has something like 800+ views and only 69 posts...
What the **** is that all about? I guess some people will never learn. lol

150 views doesn't mean "150 people reading the thread"

A view is counted every time anyone clicks on the thread, or navigates to a new page of the thread, or gets taken back to the thread after their own post... or refresh to look at posts, or refreshes to edit posts, and so on. I just skimmed through all 4 pages, then went back to the original page to quote you and write my posts, and then I got taken back to the thread automatically. Thats "6 views" right there.

Thread over.

I still think you are missing the point to be honest.:confused: Its not about replying for the sake of getting a Post noted.

Quality not Quantity is what you want in a reply:thumbup:
 
OP, I'll give you a serious answer: there are a lot of lurkers on GTAM. And in those 150 views, I believe that non-registered members are included. Some people come on gtam just to soak up/read the information (I did it for a couple of months before I got an account). Mods correct me if that traffic doesn't count in the statistic
