Excellent day everyone. And great pics. And Luc, I will be waiting to see "It's a nice place!" in your banner....

I have been following this thread. Looks like you had and awesome ride too!!!!

My wife and I couldn't make the meet up at 9:00 am. We did ride up there later today.

Nice route, thanks. There are some tracks there that I'll gladly "steal" :). One suggestion: Take #2 instead of 35 between Moore Falls and Minden. It's considerably more scenic and entertaining: http://g.co/maps/jxmzd

Scene from Hwy 2 (Thanks Vlad, awesome road! Entertaining = Twisties).

Boooya;
....If everyone is ok with it we can stop at the Dorset tower for the views on the way up 35, it's a $5 charge I believe buy totally worth a climb to the top if you've never been. The views this time of year are fantastic, not for those afraid of heights lol.

Thanks Boooya - awesome views from the Tower!

Lovely day and Fearless lived up to his name as I led him through much fun in the dark after we cut off 400 to 89 and waltzed our way home via the escarpment roads....... Much fun - both ended pumped with grins.

Boooya led a good ride -

9 people - 7 bikes
Here's the mob

really intense - some stretches were almost overwhelming in intense colour -

some stretches just awash in this intensity

Much fun - long day - 7.30 am to 9 pm - just under 800k .

Only flaw was the long hunt for lunch.....tho the final results were pretty fine. ( at that point shoe leather was looking tasty. )

Thanks to all.....looks like Fearless and I have some common ground in business and in riding preferences ( fun at night ) so some more rides likely.

Hope BG got home okay with the broken top case.

Yes it was an excellent ride - thanks Boooya for planning and leading.

Np :)
We passed you on hyw 11 as you were filing up at the pertro, I gave you a honk but I don't think you heard me.

Thanks to Boooya for the planning and leading. Excellent ride, great crew! It was amazing to see the fall colors up there, as there isn't much of this around here yet.

For some obscure reason, the pace quickened somewhat as we hit road 117 on our way back :D And those escarpment backroads at night following MacDoc, that was a lot of fun too!

We did the sightseeing figured it was time for a little fun :)

Yeah - as it turned out I didn't really save any time heading straight down the highway - slow traffic for a bit - then slowed down even more when a convoy of about six OPP cars pulled out onto the highway - can you say "speed traps?"

Still a lot of fun - one of the best group rides I've had all season.

I was surprised how fast the traffic was rolling and drivers were aggressive as well. Very annoying and one of my ear buds popped loose so not only noisy but noisy in one ear which I find disconcerting.

Pulled in for gas and a tea break at 89 then zig zagged home with few cars in evidence down Airport Road from 89 and basically zero once we got into the secondary roads like Mountainview and The Grange.
Riding those at night feels wicked quick and had to dodge a sizeable raccoon feeding on another road kill which he almost joined. Much fun.

Lovely riding evening. Felt pumped after that stretch and then crashed - could hardly keep eyes open at 10 pm.

Debating heading to the Forks today ......so nice at 23.

Good group ride - maybe should pack lunches next time so not cut into riding time :D - after all - I've got room for a good number under the Burgman seat ;)

O.k. You've convinced me. I'm going to get off my butt and go out for a boot.

I'm loungng outside - just now and it's summer!!!
Minor risk of showers but lovely late into the evening.

Just got back. Not too many pictures. Most of the good trees were on curvy roads.
