Taliban want two things, occupiers gone and an ultra conservative Muslim emirate.…to the Taliban….who had been defeated?
I believe like ISIS, Taliban have aspirations to become a califate.

Reminds me of watching them qualifying for the Olympics in diving.
Same old ignorant ass that thinks he is smarter than the rest
You’re the one saying you can’t tell them apart, You should have the answers to all your questions no?How many Afghans have travelled the world causing terrorist atrocities? I just want to give some xen to your phobia.
You sure think you know a lot about meHow many Afghans have travelled the world causing terrorist atrocities? I just want to give some xen to your phobia.
You’re the one saying you can’t tell them apart, You should have the answers to all your questions no?
But i would say more than you would think
Don’t know, why do you ask? A quick google search says noneHow many were on the planes that were involved in the 9/11 attacks?

So now you’re calling me racist, Great we are doneRight…so zero there. How many in Canada? I just want to get to the bottom of your statement that you seem to think it’s dangerous to let some in here. Obviously there must be something to back that up in the way of facts or otherwise the only other reason for saying it is that you don’t like people different to you?
But that don’t mean parts of Afgan is not full of them
So now you’re calling me racist, Great we are done
The US did get it done. Taliban gone, tribal warlords gone, massive improvement of civil rights and liberties, democratic, albeit corrupt, govt installed. 200000 man army organized, trained, armed and paid.
When it came time to leave, the locals rolled over without a fight.
Evidence on the ground is that the Taliban and the warlords were never really gone, just gone quiet, biding their time. All the other stuff was temporary.
The Taliban are now presenting a more moderate stance (in public) ... perhaps they realise that people have been given a taste of better living standards and won't want to go back ... but will that moderate stance hold in the long term? Given how long conflict has persisted in the region, my money is on reversion to old ways.
The Taliban are similar to the Viet Cong in that they were integrated into society and thus not easy to defeat for an army viewed by the public as "outsiders" ... but Vietnam today seems to be a reasonably functional society, a world apart from the Vietnam abandoned by the Americans in 1975. I have a hard time believing that Afghanistan could do anything of the sort; I hope I'm wrong.
It all starts with CrossFit…Some interesting things happened today in Afghanistan. Female news anchors appeared back on air for one. Their spokesman said they had no interest in revenge, no interest in reprisals and no interest in the heroin business. Some of that sounds like a load of baloney but something weird is going on. Next they will have official Twitter handles and be sharing Martha Stewart recipes.
Best response I saw today on Twitter to their statements was “when is pride day in Kabul?”
The majority- Absolutely. Will there also be some bad apples like anywhere else, probably. That’s why it would never be liberated, You don’t know your enemy.
But yet it’s safe to spread them from one end of this country to the other never knowing what the end results will be.
Do you think the Afgan people that’s brought in is all here for the love of our country and mean to cause no harm?
