Advanced Riding Course with Turn 2

Maggie, what time you getting there? I'm trying for noon.

I'll bring a dictionary for you.

Maggie, I will look you up. Although my eyes tend to get drawn towards chicks in leathers anyway.

I'll be driving up cause everyone is telling me not to ride. Doing the ARC1 on Sat. Plus easier to bring gear and what I need for a weekend of camping. Wow, good luck with the drive hun, it's going to be crazy traffic.

You are riding too?! Ugh...might not leave on Friday until about 4 :(

What did I spell wrong this time???? lol

Nothing. Yet. But it's only 11.

Joking aside, don't ride up is my advice. It's a long drive, an even longer ride. Save your legs for your ARC course.

I use my street bike for the track, not only it is a pain in the *** to prepare, but trust me it is always on the back of your mind the fact that you don't want to crash and I do not push it s hard as I probably would with a rental or a dedicated track bike.

Thanks Fiery:)

One of my jobs got me a dictionary and thesaurus as my going away present... spelling is not my forte but it has gotten better over the years. lol

Been trying all day to get a hold of somebody at turn2 but nothing. Any idea if they typically have open Spots for all their courses to register on the day of? All ready to head out but cant check to see if they have open spots :(

Definite fishiness going on. Their website has been down for a while too.

Third hand info and likely RUMOUR, is that Pirelli or someother organzation is buying them out?

.

There is room... as long as you have your own bike. Just got an email from Karen:)

I really liked 8, 12-14 and the last ones 17-20. Had a permasmile the whole day the instructors where laughing at me. lol
What a rush. My last session, last lap behind the instructor felt so good. Every corner I was on her butt and she would turn around to check how I did in the corner and looked excited when I was right behind her and gave me the thumbs up.

She? Who did you have? Josée? I had Josée the second day last time I was there and I really, really appreciated the fact that she was honest with me, pointed out my problem areas on the track map, and didn't give me any glowing, ego-building fluff. I wanted constructive criticism and she gave it to me. :)

Yup, she was awesome.

What an awesome weekend! Turn 2 instructors are so knowledgeable, the staff are great...what a fantastic team, I even got to 2 up with a pro racer . The track is sooo smooth, I found that I wasn't looking at the pavement like I did at TMP, and what grip! I'm hoping to go again this weekend, anyone else in? I heart Bogie! :love10:

Sweet have fun girl:)

Well, I've never been riding the track, though I'll be taking my FZ6 next season for sure. That said, I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but nevertheless, I'll risk getting flamed by asking this:

How is it possible for a 13 HP bike like the CBR125R to give you any kind of track experience? The latter being not only cornering and choosing the best line, but also opening her up in the straights for pure addictive acceleration and speed! For all I know, if I can't attain the ripping speed I am dreaming of, how would I even learn to do proper braking?!

13HP---I've never been on one, but is that thing even capable of moving my fat 190lb *** around above the speed limit?

...pardon my apparent ignorance, just wondering here.
