Most small 2 strokes run @ 40-50:1. You'd never get one to even start below 20:1.

Many small 2 strokes in the past ran at much lower than 20:1. I had a 1950's Villiers 250 twin trials bike I restored and it had the original manual recommending 16:1.

Ran like a champ on Morris MLR30 at 16:1

False. Esso said their 91 octane contains up to 10% ethanol. Only Shell and Ultramar confirm that in ALL OF ONTARIO their 91 grade fuel contains NO ethanol.

Pure-gas.org still lists Esso as having ethanol-free 91 (as well as Shell 91, Costco 91, Ultramar 91, Canadian Tire 91, and some independent stations listed individually). If you have a more reliable source of information that contradicts this, please share it.
