308 km/h on the QEW

I believe that it takes 3 years to get your license in Finland.

At the end of it you need to demonstrate a controlled spin out on ice.
Man, that sounds awesome (and a good idea). If we were going to make new classes of licenses, changing the test so those that pass in dry roads arent allowed to drive when it is wet or snowy is a great start (similar to trike license, you get the letter but have restrictions).

Really?? your usually more rational than that @GreyGhost, kid drives to work, comes out 6hrs later and its started to rain? sh'e supposed to leave the car there and bus it home? oy vey

More just a complaint about the crap standard needed to get a license. It wouldnt be hard to go back to the old testing centre model where there was a low friction test pad at the centre to ensure the first time you hit ice it isn't in an intersection with pedestrians.

Its about to get extra stupid for this kid, the Premier is saying throw the book at him, so poliuce and crown are under some pressure.
And police are now wondering how a car how a speed capped car (180mph) got to 191mph with some pedal left apparently, and now the insurance carrier will wonder about a modded car that was not reported, daddy will be quite unhappy for a while.

it wont be long until the new muscle cars are legislated out of existence, thanks dickheads.
I still think it probably wasn't the parents car.

Well, either the dad or uncle has an apotex job that would support it as the dads car, but I'd be surprised if it could support it as the kids car. That could be the uncle though and the dad is a ghost.

wouldnt be one of my kids lol , but there are some frighteningly expensive cars being driven by 18-20yr olds. U of W parking lot looks like it should be yorkville on a saturday night. Kids with 150k cars are not 'uncommon'

I would say it’s Dads car and Dad is into nice fast cars.
I have friends with fast cars and kids. One is building a 1000hp Fox body Mustang. I’m sure some of you have kids and still enjoy a rip. My Dad has always been a car guy. When I was 17 Dad bought me my first car, 68 Firebird in the 90’s. I was driving his Modded 96 Impala SS. Had the keys once to my uncles Maserati for a night. Nothing as fast as this kid but if my Dad had deep enough pockets I’m sure I would have had access. In 6 years my Daughter will likely be allowed to take the Cobra out and in ten probably her brother.

I did some pretty stupid stuff and wrecked a lot of rubber but the tickets were either small or lower than actual speed. I would not have ever been stupid Enough nor had the balls for that speed run though.

No doubt Daddy is ****** about this big of a ticket though.

You think it's the kid's car?
No doubt they bought the car, and likely cover all of it's expenses. But they've likely never been inside it.

I might have to take that back before someone calls me on it.
But I do remember watching a show and it mentioned such facts about it .

We should've followed the German system, not easy to get a license, and well kept highways etc. They got it good, 300 kph no problem as long as the stretch is un restricted and conditions permit. That's this AMG's home turf :ROFLMAO:

Love it! I’d start with small stuff so wife doesn’t notice. Lower and stiffer suspension, exhaust, tune....the little things.
Turbo, turbo, turbo! Just put in an adjustable boost controller and remember to turn it down when you get out.

A friend in university had a girlfriend that drove an old station wagon with a 307 (~140 hp when new). That engine died. He had a few 350 ~350 hp engines kicking around that came out of past projects and I was pushing hard to get him to drop one in and just tell her we fixed the 307 and record the hilarity. Sadly they scrapped it and she bought a bug. Very disappointing outcome.

That Mustang I posted above Is going to shock a lot of people.
Its a stock 5.0 out of a 2016 f150 I think they make around 390hp stock.
Yes modded Mustangs don’t really shock anyone. But this will have only the slightest rumble as he’s running full exhaust with cats, and stock truck cams.
by the time you hear the twin billet turbos spool he’s gone.
the goal is to get in the 9 second 1/4 mile times.
complete street car with tablet infotament system heated leather seats from a BMW M3 And an automatic trans because he’s old and lazy.
I can’t wait to drive this thing.

So between that and the cobra what has the hardest time hooking up? He has more power but you have a lot less weight.

When my wife lived downtown, there was often a cobra rep (license plate something like 2fst4u) driving around moore park. I watched him get on it one time and it was obviously too fast for him as well. He went a lot sideways and barely saved it. Sounded good but he probably needed new pants.

His will hook harder.
He has the suspension and tires to hook. Along with progressive boost tuning capabilities. Race car with comfy seats and quiet exhaust hiding in plain sight.
My car would probably run a very scary 11 second pass if I was lucky.
Screaming and yelling and fishtailing all the way.
It’s better to cruise around slowly and blip the Pedal every once and a while.
its no race car.
He could beat me 3 years ago when it was a 6spd with only 480hp to the wheels.
