From Tuesday's ride

Damn I'm missing going on those dirt roads when I had my Duc Scrambler as some awesome sights are found there ... I see it's up on the dealerships website and the thought has occurred to offer them what they gave me for it on trade-in if it's still there come spring.

But then again, I really don't have room for a 3rd bike.

No heated grips. I might get a pair, could solve 2 problems, as heated grips are a bit thicker?
A few years back I rode a cruiser for a while, those bigger grips are nice! I often wonder why no manufacturer or aftermarket supplier offers a fat a simple conversion kit.

If you want a fatter grip AND heat you can always get these and leave them on all year round. These have 2 heat settings and I find the high is too hot even with gloves on but may be good below 10C. They really should've put a medium setting on it.

First pic is along Penninsula Road north of Minett
Second pic is along Housey's Rapids Road, about 100m south of the Summerland General Store.
On Riley Lake Road? Muskoka 6 should be paved.

I have built in heated grips, and put some grip puppies on to fatten them up; it doesn't affect the heat.

Behind me is Witbeck Road. I pulled over there for a snack

@sburns
Do you have heated grips on yours?

I don't think you can use grip puppies with heated grips.

Sure you can, no problem. I've run Grip Puppies over Oxfords for several years. You'll lose a little heat, but not much.

Not thicker, I don't think so. Not by a noticeable amount, at least.

I've found the Oxford grips to be as hard as rocks, rather uncomfortable at the end of a day long ride. Grip Puppies solve that problem, and also remove some of the Guzzi vibes.

Noob question. How packed will the roads be the Friday before Thanksgiving (tomorrow). I got the day off work and would like to go for a ride.

#13 Beaver valley rd that teriminates at Thornbury. I was up there over a decade ago. I remember it as a good road. Is it?
I'm planning to ride it early next week if the weather is halfway decent. A last blast if you will.
I'd be glad to meet up if anyone is interested in checking out.

Always fun. Watching the salmon run at the fish ladder in Thornbury is cool if you catch it just right. Lots of radar.

Check out Hearts restaurant in Kimberley. Get the smash burger. Thank me after.

Looks like Wednesday may be nice for a ride up. Anyone keen?

We did the annual fall color ride in the Muskoka area today. It was cold and we got caught in the showers a few times but overall a very nice ride.

Fall colors at full swing, almost at the tail end.

Oakville> King city > Coldwater > Big Chute > Bala > Mortimer's point Rd > Port Carling > Windermere > Lake Rossae> back on hwy 11 via hwy 141 and hwy 400/401 to home.

I went out today to Algonquin it was cool and sun peeked out just long enough to give you hope but not enough to warm you.
Up 11 to 60, 127, South Baptiste Lake road, (bumpier than I remember), Loop Road (648), 118, 503, 45 (Monk Road), 12, 48, Ravenshoe to 404.
The good news was few people in the Park, bad news, even fewer leaves. No traffic at all and 45, Monk Road is fun when empty lots of curves
