2023 Day Trips!

Finally back home. Rain was a close companion these 2 days. Plus, got ticketed for speeding in quebec 😕 I got excited as soon as the rain stopped on the 101 South going towards Temiskaming from Laniel. My first (hopefully last) in Canada

But I enjoy riding, regardless. I enjoyed this ride as well. Sometimes it’s a test out there in the elements. That’s what makes it exciting for me.

Will post pics soon.

Cool ride! Looking forward to your pics!

Hi guys,

Any suggestion for a two-day trip, starting and finishing in Toronto?

I was thinking of the following routes from Shane's post. He mentions they can be done in around one day, but after 500kms per day, my legs start to feel funny.
* Google Maps
* Google Maps
* 2103-1853 Burnt Hills Rd to 6567-6339 Arden Rd

Right now I want to stick to Ontario because around mid-October I'm thinking to go to the US for two or three days.

These are the places I've been to this year and would like to try some different roads.

I would try southwood up to rosseau, the bottom third of southwood is pretty bad, but the remaining 10-15kms is pretty nice

Maybe you can also do some roads near calabogie?

How far south in the US you planning to go?

Did a run up to Halliburton yesterday. Nothing to out of the ordinary, had to go an take a new photo of the streetcar with the new bike :p

Pitstop in Little Britain for some buttertarts and a dount.

Buttertarts were runny by the time I got to Kinmount 😕 dount was ok though

Was a good day for a run, but so freaking hot.

Bike is performing well, can't complain, just need to adjust some stuff for all day comfort.

Golden Helmets are supposed to be doing a show in Pakenham on Saturday.

@PacoT If you want to head up to Tobermory, take the ferry and ride this loop

I have been planning to go to SSM and Wawa for the last 2 years, hopefully this year. We will see.

Yeah, a 2007 FZ6. Went out for what is my usual season opener ride today. The last time I did my season opener on my SV, things didn't go as planned lol. The usual route - Palgrave, Hockley Valley, Mono-Relessey, River Rd, 2 Line E and back home. Skipped Creemore this time.
You found a bike?

They rebuilt the fence that I crashed into 😬

@voyageur
Nice colour scheme of the FZ6. I like it

No to Hijack the thread but...
I have a set or Givi top case mounts for the bike that I am selling. I have the top plate for the Monokey system as well.

Congrats on the new bike, glad to hear you are back!

Nice bike. I had one a year older.
If you're finding the turbulence at head level too much cut about 3-4 inches off the top of the windshield, it really quieted things down for me.

Sure, I will reach out to you separately :)

Nice bike congrats @voyageur … I’m more curious about your fence incident! Obviously you’re alive and well.
Yeah I got lucky...target fixation and lack of focus. Familiar roads so wasn't paying a 100% attention.

Congrats on the new bike, glad to hear you are back!
Thank you :)

Yeah I did notice that, especially on the highway. Thanks for the pointer, will try this.

Cool.

Glad you are back on two wheels after an incident.

I'm guessing the bike was repainted as I don't think they came in white.

The blue cloth on the tank add some nice contrast to the bike. From far it looks like it's part of the paint.
Maybe consider adding some blue to it.

How's the colours (or construction) up in Algonquin or Renfrew areas? Bit early but I've got a free day tomorrow with nice weather so might as well take advantage of it.
