2012 zx14

Please tell me you are getting an aftermarket exhaust... Stock is hideous

Just for my point of reference, what bike do you ride today?

You said that it's more of an "aggressive sport touring bike". How tall are you Greg and how is the reach to the bars compared to your 2007? I'm just curious.

Well, you had to point out the size of the bike to the original poster, so I had to include you to the list of wimpy little 250 GTAM club. :D
Trust me he is not, don't know you (I think) but I would put my money on low rider when it comes to handling a bike (I did ride with him)

Has everyone gotten the ridicule and finger pointing out of the way regarding the size of the bike? Was this ever important enough to comment on beyond the first mention?

PS. I like the stock exhaust, and I like the bike.

As for the new owner who says that the ZX14 has power that is good for merging into traffic, my old 86 VFR had good power for merging so I should bloody hope the 14 has it too! Sorry, but the merging comment is funny about a bike that can obliterate the worlds most expensive supercars.

+1 lol. My 250 had great power for merging too lol, that thing has great power for time travel.

Who is talking about bike handling and riding skill? I am talking about bike displacement.
I have no intentions to get into an argument, I was just letting you know that he is not a "wimpy 250 rider" that's all.

Zx goes back to meditate...... aummmmmmmmm

It is the same reach as the 07 - I am 5'9"

merging comment was intended as a joke

I own a 600 and a 250. I guess I get to choose which club I should be apart of. *Walks over to the "wimps"*

I'm also 5'9 and wondered whether I'd need to install risers. I've sat on one in the dealership and can almost flat foot it on both sides but didn't think to check the reach so thanks for pointing that out.

I wonder whether any dealerships would offer a demo ride? I'm an experienced rider. I've had my full M for many years if that makes a difference to them.

Thanks.

risers are not needed IMO - but there are several available if you need them. I had risers on the 07 but I am not installing them on the new bike.

LOL. Sorry, I just thought you were hard to impress.

+1 missed that sarcasm. I just read the Cycle World review of the 2012 and man this thing sounds like a hoot, but with our traffic laws I don't think it's for me.
