ahhh nice. i'll enquire about what it would take for just the high comp pistons, headers and cam swap (and then im assuming ecu adjustment or power commander + dyno testing etc etc). it'll probably be a lot $ lol.
im fine with 650cc but wouldnt mind some more HP. the post on that forum says...
know anyone locally that can actually do all of that with the 865 kit?
actually i'd be fine with sticking to 650cc but bumping up to 60hp with these mods (still expensive) : link
and the 865 bore kit, but both would be at significant cost to install set up/dyno properly/adjust ecu/power commander/new clutch etc etc. you'd probably be spending at least 3 grand extra to get this right. at that point i might as well buy a triumph.
make it 65hp and i'd consider upgrading from my gt650. if they keep it at a2 licensing HP (48) and make the bike somehow even heavier (the super meteor has got to be the dumbest bike) then nope.
oh nice! never was a big fan of love and rockets but i guess the rest of the band had to do something with peter murphy needing a LOT of help. was looking forward to bauhaus toronto date before it got cancelled.
yep i was. lots of people say they suck live but i had a great time with friends there! the filmore looks amazing and i'd definitely road trip back here for another show if it didnt come to toronto.
detroit is in a weird spot. i looked it up and they are something like 3rd in the entire US for how expensive airbnb and hotels are. NYC is fourth!
as for downtown, it was dead people-wise but the actual area looked pretty decent for a downtown core. then again i was also there on a monday lol.
i dont think i saw any! it was a nice area though. would have chilled a bit longer but i was already behind schedule. every time i think im gonna leave early in the morning for a ride i always end up leaving...not in the early morning lol.
back from detroit (on bike). it was fine! bike still in my possession!
the filmore venue is insane.
took the sarnia route and stopped off at the bluewater bridge for some pulled pork poutine. yep mostly straight highway riding but with very little traffic so it was fine. slight 10 minute...
just for kicks i was gonna try on a helmet i had bought back in 2014. turns out the glue(?) that keeps the foam in place was pretty much gone and the entire foam headshell portion literally just popped out lol.
i have the revit mesh jacket but am still concerned with the way i look so i bought the black one, which is obviously the complete opposite of what you want it to do. ahh well! as long as you're constantly moving it works great though.
honestly my favourite thing about the scrambler is how incredibly light it is for a semi-retro inspired style bike. any time i'm on a heavier bike (like my royal enfield 650) and then go back to the scrambler, it feels like i'm tossing around a bicycle.
the triumph definitely doesn't feel as...
my nexus application has been sitting in a queue since june 2022 lol. although i had no idea it helped with land crossings too. i thought it was only for air travel!
