Went last year, camped at Adirondack Village Campground and enjoyed it. Checked out the the show for half a day and spent the rest of the time riding the area which is great out toward Lake Placid etc...
Pretty sure we left on a Thursday and came back Sunday.
Back Road Coffee Roasters in Port Credit have made little disposable pour over kits. It's not really on their website but scroll down to the bottom to their IG section to go the post.
They also have bike nights every other Thursday with the 22nd being the next one.
Like others have mentioned it may be the gloves you are wearing? I also find they tend to work better with thin gloves..
Do they get really hot with your bare hands?
I have the same grips right down the retro style and they get plenty hot - I don't think I have ever used them on max, and I ride year round in some pretty cold temps. I have them on my FZ1 for reference.

I've used cim metal in burlington a lot. They dont charge set up fees if you just have one piece like most places. Quality, price and turn around has always been great.

I'll probably do my version of winterizing the bikes this weekend - spraying them down with acf50 and keep riding. I have some heated grips coming and have never had them before so looking forward to that.
I rode in every month last year a few times every month as you're suggesting. I'm of the camp that salt doesn't make bikes disintegrate but I do spray my bikes down with ACF-50. I just did it for fun though, nothing to do with the winterizing/storage process.
