Ticket for Plate Not Plainly Visible

I once got a ticket for something or other (expired reg? out of date address on license?) and somebody advised me to get the problem fixed immediately, then schedule a first appearance with the prosecutor and give them the paperwork showing I took prompt action. I did this (prosecutor was a...

The vatican has dove head first into the naughts and launched an AI mascot.

The mascot has nothing to do with AI. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/260129/meet-luce-the-vatican-s-cartoon-mascot-for-jubilee-2025

    New DRZ-4S and DRZ-4SM

I saw this yesterday and was actually excited that I could stop using the 24 year old DR-Z400 as a punchline. I immediately got distracted by other things though I think "newish" is underselling it a little. New frame & suspension on top of the fuel injection and dashboard. It has ABS! ... but...

    F1 Thread!!!

Hamilton and Alonso were both miserable due to the rough surface at Interlagos. It was a *little* funny that he got passed by both Colapinto and Bearman, but then Colapinto crashed and Bearman kept going off. Also funny was Norris being extremely salty about Verstappen's win. Verstappen's...

    GoPro in trouble ?

26% is supposedly 240 employees. I would link a source for this but the internet is being a nearly unusable ad saturated mess for me on mobile today. I always thought the frequency that GoPro released "new" products was unsustainable, but their marketing has been incredible for the whole time...

V2 reimagined as Ducati's new 890cc V-twin motor is the lightest to ever leave the Bologna factory

I'm not super read into Ducatis, but isn't the variable valve timing new? For their "small" engine at least. I know that they had it on the "big" Testastretta in 2014

Rant: pulled out of my M test

I vaguely remember that you had to slew your head around in a comically exaggerated fashion in order to not get dinged for not checking for hazards. But man, that form looks pretty much exactly the same as I remember it

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

It's not a bad custom trike. Seller could reel in some extra contemporary audience by calling it a Space Marine themed bike

Red light camera ticket for turning right

I just want to point out that dashcams that have GPS modules have the possibility of having GPS synchronized time. My Viofo A119 clone does this - furthermore, you can enable this without enabling other GPS functions that would record your speed (either directly or indirectly). As to this being...

    Wanna buy a CBX ?

I look at this picture, at first confused by a two post lift inside a building with a drop ceiling and what I thought was a carpeted floor, but maybe it's something else But then I started wondering, are there any CBR600F2s left alive in the wild? Or were they all hunted to extinction by...

    Rising prices/labour

The 11k interval is for copper plugs (CR8E) and the the 22k interval is also for copper plugs (LMAR8A-9) on later bikes. It looks like nobody makes an iridium plug yet for the later bikes

If you got billed $137 AUD ($127 CDN?) for spark plug replacement that actually seems reasonable to me

The Bad Riders of Ontario Thread

That tweet got a chuckle out of me, like that they lean into it. That said - how do you stack up 16 counts of DD and 14 stuntings? Are they compiling stuff from his footage over multiple days?

Waymo self driving taxi's in SF

Taxi drivers still have a sense of self-preservation, it's just unburdened by the laws of the road or physics

Waymo self driving taxi's in SF

Neat video. I don't necessarily hate self-driving vehicles on principle, and I don't know one thing or another about Waymo's implementation. I did have a pretty strong, visceral reaction to seeing it drive into traffic though. I think I would need to be sedated for enduring it more than a minute

Hauling double trailer with Pick up?

Ok. You seem pretty confident that it is a trailer. What are you basing that on? You say exemptions were closed in 2017. Where?

Hauling double trailer with Pick up?

The HTA currently defines a trailer as such: I'm not asserting that my relatives interpretation was correct, but he is a cop and a smart guy. He seemed confident that "device or apparatus not designed to transport persons or property" described the smoker. If you know of the language in the...
