IDK. I don't really hate DRS or KERS on their own I guess. DRS has its roots in specifically fighting dominant teams. KERS as a concept is also fine, but it came hand in hand with the limits on powertrain repairs, revisions and replacements. Being that the MGU-H and MGU-K are both very complicated, but needed to be extremely reliable at the same time, resulted in some outcomes that I thought were greatly unfair. On the other hand, the race where Hamilton banked the penalities from swapping in multiple powertrains in one weekend was funny (I think this was Belgium 2016?). I very much wish they would drastically change the formula, I HATE the turbo V6s as they are.

Formula E takes the "arcadey" elements to the extreme. "FANBOOST" was an element where fans could literally vote to give a driver a temporary power boost

Lighter, shorter, narrower. DRS gone. Active aero f+r wings - useable everywhere while attacking or defending. 50-50 ice/battery power.

I can’t even fathom the costs of building to yet again a new formula .aeronautic engineers by the dozen, carbon layup geniuses, electronic gurus , and accountants in herds . It’s boggling.

Nearly everyone is looking forward to it. Monaco exposes the barges that the current cars actually are.

Go Cadillac! I want them to win so they can rub a LM win in FOM's face. "So we're not good enough for F1? Yeah, ok."

A guy named Briggs Cunningham took two Caddillacs to LeMans in the late 50's , horrible cars with crap results , so he went and bought a yacht and won the Americas Cup. then built his own sportscars till the IRS told him , its a hobby not a business. When the stupid rich could do fun stuff with all those bags of money daddy made.

Well, that was alright. Some racing happened in Austria... I still don't understand how Lando got a puncture during that incident

Somewhat related, why are the tires so shiny when new?
Mold release compound combined with condensation from being wrapped in 180 deg. tire blankets.

I would have thought something about tire warmers as well but there was an F1 car at the Toronto AutoShow a few years back and even cold they were that shiny. Basically looked wrapped in plastic wrap just sitting there.

Ah, a show car.

Hamilton and Alonso were both miserable due to the rough surface at Interlagos. It was a *little* funny that he got passed by both Colapinto and Bearman, but then Colapinto crashed and Bearman kept going off.

Also funny was Norris being extremely salty about Verstappen's win. Verstappen's domination had been boring me to tears, but I felt those conditions really favour the driver more than the car and it's hard to argue with P17 -> P1

And another race that highlights how useless the full wets are under Pirelli's current configuration. The track never dried out at any point during the race and still only I think like three cars tried out the full wets and then switched back to intermediates at the earliest opportunity
