I've seen small signs on some of the trees in the city indicating locking a bike to the tree will be bad for it (maybe that was on simcoe/King?) .When I used to ride my bicycle a few years ago to work (along the danforth/bloor) I would actually get into arguments with some of these types. oh, and when these pricks ring their bell constantly at me without saying "excuse me " when riding on the side walk, a good old kiwi **** OFF tends to work wonders. Will be interesting to see how the usage of Simcoe and Peter street goes in this pilot.Yup. Downtown cyclists largely see themselves as the chosen ones, entitled to do whatever they want and to hell with the rest of the mere mortals. I work at Yonge and College and the city planted trees in front of the new condo tower, Aura. Poor things were barely in the ground before cyclists started locking their bikes to them and the saplings suffered damage. Spoiled little whiners argued that they wanted front door parking; apparently the bike stands all around (including across the street) were too far away for these champions of health and Mother Earth.Wish the cops would start charging some of these self-important little pr*cks for riding on the sidewalks, weaving in and out, blowing stop signs and lights. HTA172 should be applied!
