Brine is down

Yup, but they have under body coatings plus the steel is treated as well. Bikes do not have this advantage, it's just paint or powder coat and/or stainless. Scratches/scrapes will expose the raw metal to the elements.

uhmmmm, don't be so sure about that. I'm pretty sure all sheet metal for automotive applications is zinc-coated. Besides, it's only the gas tank on modern bikes, anyway (if that).

If corrosion affects your modern bike; it'll be on metal brackets for things like lights accessories and fairings and in/around the hardware; esp. areas where there's non-plated fasteners threaded into Aluminum. I think most parts are plastic, rubber or aluminum anyway.

Noticeable corrosion on a "leisure" vehicle will hurt your resale badly, as there's a high chance that there will be another bike in much better condition.

Lots of bikes still use steel frames. 650R/ER6N and Versys as an example. Not sure about other bikes. I guess you could argue that these more budget oriented bikes aren't "modern". The only rust I ever saw on my bike was within a few months of getting it. They tried to claim it was from my drop somehow but I have received brand new parts from Kawisaki that had the paint flaked off at the welds and slightly rusty while still in the factory packaging.

So far the only place I've found it was on the weld on the front bracket that connects the headlights and front fairings to the frame. Brand new from the factory had it in the same spot. Also on the rear subframe where some bolts go into had a tiny bit. Since applying ACF50 I haven't seen anything additional.

I shipped out a bottle of ACF50 today. So far no one else has actually PM'd me even though a few of you expressed interest...
I have one bottle left but can buy another case if there is enough interest.

Was out on bike yesterday and saw no brine from Brampton to Whitby and back. Clean roads.

it's back now. and wet. all over the roads north of the GTA

Half the people that are worried about resale value and salt will probably have their bike stolen from their condo within a year anyways so you're just doing the theives a favor by keeping it pretty.

Not just brine down now. I've seen rock salt on the road in a few places. Convair near Pearson today.
