Brine is down

Do you know where I can get this without buying a whole case? Anyone got an extra can to sell?

EB Peerless sells the aerosol. I could probably sell you one of the large bottles with the smaller pump bottle if you're interested. Shoot me a PM. I bought a whole case last year.

Live downtown. PM me. Looks like I might need to order another case if everyone wants one, lol.

Last year I rode in this brine a lot. washed it about every week. I even rode in some that was just sprayed. Have not seen any rust or pitting on my bike. I will still ride untill salt is on the roads.
I believe this brine is actually vegitable based. Not salt based. That was the word on the street when it first came out. Even saw a special on T.V. that the solution was years in developement. I think it talked about it being made from mostly Beat juice.

In some jurisdictions this is true, but according to the City of Toronto's website:

http://www.toronto.ca/environment/transportation.htm

A recent innovation involves the mixing of salt with water to create a salt brine solution that is applied to roads either as a liquid or mixed with granular salt. The City's use of salt brine returns the roadway to normal driving conditions quickly and is better for the environment than solid salt because it uses less salt.

Tasted pretty salty when I got stuck behind a row of brine trucks early this year

do they salt the squiggly roads up north or just the main and arteries. what about the 500 series?

Brine is brine, it's pretty much going to have salt in it. The salt concentration might vary. Using beet juice is a more recent development from the past few years or so. It's added to the brine mixture. The sugars basically make the mixture stick to the roads better and more effective at lower temperatures. It's more environmentally friendly since it reduces the salt concentration. However, it's also much more costly by the litre compared to a brine mixture of just salt and water. Mostly due to the added costs, from what I know, the City of Toronto will only spray the beet juice brine mixture when it gets to about -20C.

This is for the undercoat spray? I'd like some too if it is.

Ok so on the topic of ACF50... I can sell the 32 oz bottles with small refillable spray bottle for $30 each. This is a measly reimbursement of under $0.50 each for my time and effort (and makes it so I don't need to mess around with change). However, at this time I am not sure how many bottles I have left. If anyone wants any, PM me and we can work it out. If I'm out I will order another case. If the price on a case has changed I might need to alter my asking price.

I'm located near Bathurst and St. Clair after 4pm daily or can meet near Pearson earlier than that.

I do not have any of the aerosol bottles but I guess if there is enough interest I could arrange a group buy on a case of those as well. It works out cheaper per volume for the larger bottle with the refillable spray bottle. Since I was undercoating my cars, which uses a fair amount of product, I opted to just get a case of the large ones. Plus no one seems to sell the large ones individually anywhere. For the aerosol you can also go to EB Peerless just north of Pearson.
