Leslie & Lakeshore - Property Manager will be on site tonight

Sounds like the property manager wants to work with the situation, not shut things down. Play nice, don't be ********, and all should be fine.

A solution may be just to buy some food and beverages from Choppers, spread out the wealth. Timmies coffee is garbage anyway.

Another option would be to leave an agreed upon amount of parking spots open (namely the ones closest to the doors) to allow the Price Choppers customers to do their business.

Also if you arrive as a group and plan on leaving as a group attempt to use the least amount of space as possible. 4 bike can fit in 1 spot fairly easily.

If we don't play by the rules we are going to quickly run out of suitable places to play.

Thats not true, you don't have right to be there the same way you don't have the right to be in a mall. They can still kick you out anytime.

Reasonable minds will have reasonable limits. Most coffee shops have a little sign somewhere stating maximum stays. Also one can't park at a store lot, buy a candy bar and take the TTC downtown for the day.

A lot will depend on how much money the meet brings into T/W. Is it enough to offset the ill will from the other clients who could retaliate with legal action or subtle counter measures?

Unless one of us has copies of all the contracts and know the mindsets of the parties it's speculation. Since you're a lawyer you would have better access to precidents and the knowledge of how this would be interpreted.

I don't enjoy mass meetings, large ride groups and I live at the other end of TO so the outcome means little to me. One could get tangental on social commentaries etc but I don't have enough tin foil on hand and I hear there's going to be a shortage.

So it's friday now.. how about an update? Who was there last night? Did the property manager show up and talk to anyone, or cops show up? Did the word spread amongst the riders to keep to one area of the lot etc?

Hence my original comment. If you don't sort it out privately, people will do it for you.

The property manager approached me and the group I was with. Damn, at first I thought she was mackin' on me but turns out she was being extra nice. Her disapproval of the situation was completely valid. It was the first time I parked within the main PC lot instead of the southeast corner next to the drive through window where I usually go. Respect the property or lose the privilege. or things will go down the toilet like what happened at Kennedy Commons.

we had 275 parked bikes at one time....everyone was nice....except for those 5 loud harleys and 1 sport bike that went to redline

cops drove around several times .....saw nothing and left....no biggy

then more bikes flooded in....and we grew to 375......probably to 400...total bikes that visited last night

I just think the bikes should park around the edges.....east, north & south.....and leave west of the cart parking to the front of Price Choppers empty

Seems perfectly reasonable for her to request we leave adaquate room for the customers.. it's nice enough for her to allow us to stay in the first place. I've only been to this meet a few times, and I observed bikes rolling in and acually surounding and blocking in cars of employee's and/or customers who were already there, and basically couldn't leave until the meet was done..

Sounds like she is offering an olive branch.. if there's a specific section of the parking lot we should be stickign too, lets try to get the word out as much as possible.. if you show up for the meet, move to the right spot and encourage those you rode in with to do the same.. if you see people parked in the wrong spot, kindly inform them what's up.. and as someone else said, try and spend a little money at the price chopper.. surley they sell some drinks and snacks.. probably a better value then the timmies/wendy's anyway.

I was going to go to Price choppers to pick up some ice cream or Popsicles and share the goodness with friends
Showed up late...

Gonna blame my 2 up for that ;)

A grocery store near where I used to work would sometimes set up a bbq during the lunch hour and sell burgers, hot dogs and drinks. Perhaps Price Chopper could do the same and make a few bucks off the riders. Hard to resist the smell of bbq when you're right there.

KC wasn't as bad as Martin Grove but the "burn out competition" was the breaking point (those who were there know what I'm talking about lol). I guess police don't like burn outs, and tire smoke. Who would have thought?

Great idea, redridernl! I would definitely buy some bbq grub over Timmies any day.

Realistically though, lets say all the bikes parked somewhere out of the way. Theres still like 200 - 400 bikes in the area.
If I wasn't a rider, I'd probably be scared off from going to PC on thursday nights.

I applaud the attempt to amicably solve the situation, but probably pointless imo.

Before I rode here, I saw this meetup a few years back.. thought everyone was in some sort of biker gang. Stayed away from that Timmies due to this..

damn 400 bikes?! Last time I was at a Timmies meetup 3 years ago there was no more than 100 bikes and the parking lot looked full. Anyone got pictures of last night with 400 bikes?

lol makes sense now I feel like an idiot

But I guess the Timmies meet has grown a lot because it's been there for years and now it's an issue. Seems like the property manager just realized motorcyclists have been meeting there every Thursday.

Burnouts??

:lmao:

The 80s called, they want their cool factor back.

Good idea but Wendys might have a no competition clause in their lease. If it could be arranged how about a row of chip trucks, burger stand and drink booths making a line across the parking lot. Cars on one side and bikes on the other. Maybe the vendors have to buy some stuff at PC.

Add some mutual respect and we have a party.
