Leslie & Lakeshore - Property Manager will be on site tonight

There's not going to be a parking lot party at Price Choppers with hot dogs and ferris wheels, keep dreaming. Either the motorcyclists comply or we get the boot by hired security or the cops, pure and simple. It was all cool when 60 or 70 bikes showed up but it's gone beyond critical mass.

Maybe I'm daft...but what is the whole allure of hanging out with 400 other parked motorcycles given it's not like there's some big lovefest going on - you're for the most part walking around looking at pretty much similar-looking bikes as yours (outside of the few custom cruise jobbers), talking to yourself ('cause the cruiser crowd sure as **** ain't talking to the ruffian SS crowd), and drinking mediocre coffee...

What am I missing?

"we had 275 parked bikes at one time....everyone was nice....except for those 5 loud harleys and 1 sport bike that went to redline"

Soooo, where's the new hangout spot?

Same old story.

I remember when we used to meet at the Dairy Cream on Lakeshore in Etobicoke on Monday nights. The parking lot was tiny and the owner asked several times for the bikes to leave parking spots available for cars. Eventually the owner had enough of us preventing paying customers arriving in cars and kicked us out. I believe that's when we moved to the Dairy Queen on Broadview and Pottery Rd. That meet eventually died because of the tiny parking lot, construction of a condo building next door and lack of interest. Then there was Kennedy Commons, but that was a bit different with the burnouts.

Anyways, enough of the history lesson. Unfortunately I can't see everybody complying to PC's wishes so I give a 60/40 chance that Thursday night L&L's will get too big and we'll be asked to leave. So someone start scoping some new places out!

There are a few female eye candy. A bunch of my friends usually show up along with the occasional interesting custom build or vintage bike. I used to go every week but for the past 3 years, maybe once a month. Yeah, it's lost it's novelty but newbies are fascinated by all the plastic and chrome and flock to it like flies to a shithouse.

I went once, this pretty much sums it up for me. Other peoples opinion may differ but you'll never catch me there again.
I do see the allure to new riders though.

I've never been to this thing personally...is it worth it to go from Etobicoke?

So, outside of that occasional novelty/vintage bike, pretty much nothing...

Thought so. Thanks Grouch.

How about bikes don't show up 'til after 10?

If that's too late because you have to go to work in the morning, how the hell do you think the Loblaws folks feel about their job security with dwindling sales?

JUST an fyi guys, according to the trespass to property act, any agent of a private property can ask you to leave for any reason at any time, failure to do so is tresspassing and they can use as much force as necessary to remove you and you can be charged by police. Sounds like the management is pretty cool about finding a compromise, being ******** or tough guys will only hurt you in the end as the law will favor the property owner and it's tennants.

If you're free and have nothing better to do, go riding first and then drop by there at least once. Wont harm you to check it out. Doesn't take that long to get there from Etobicoke. And if you're shy, go with friends.

There's the social aspect as well. I go probably a half dozen times during the season and enjoy spending an hour or so chatting with friends and meeting new people.

True enough (and point well taken), but I'd rather meet fellow GTAMers at more intimate gatherings e.g. that upcoming shooting range gathering just outside London or even the Burrito Boyz meets, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I'll probably head down once or twice before the season is over just to see what it's all about, it's just that I'm not in any rush to do so.

Wish I had a motorcycle. I'd love to go.

OK guys.... CagedCBR and I started this thing back in 06 .... Just please respect the place... We have had a great run there so far.... Listen to what RetroGrouch(Jay) is saying and there will be no problems..... Don't make Me come back and go all HULK on Yer *****..... lol

what are you MISSING..........................FRIENDS

Doesn't look like she's trying to ban bikes. She's simply trying to look after both her tenants. That's her job. It'd be a damn sight easier for her to ban large meets, organised or not, and be done with it. If she's trying to work with the attnedees then they should try to reciprocate.
Couldn't agree more. And for those parking in handicap spots i hope u get ticketed !!!!!!!!!!! Just sayin. Hey is she hot?:-)
