the funny part is they announce it so A) when they pull you over they can say, "hey, you know we announce this crap on the news right, the web, radio, all those places you'd look. and B) have people looking over their shoulder more for the popo. meh, whatever works...
would have been nice to have someone around to enforce things for her today. She decided to drive instead of ride...
Guy pulling a boat in front of her decided to have a garager sale on the QEW, cushion, seats, metal bars all blew out over the highway near Stoney Creek. she dodges what she could and hoped the parts she had to straddle were low enough to go under the car. Would have been an uglier show on had she elected to take the bike.
Guy with the boat, not a care in the world and just kept trucking along. You've got to wonder why these people don't notice that the entire highway has come to a near standstill behind them

Because...
#1 - they don't look behind them
#2 - they can get charged for improper load if they get busted so it's easier to just keep going
#3 - they just do not give a %@!@
I agree with Kbosh on this one, im also def okay with this...
From what i have experienced on the roads, this is an evil must every year... to get the drivers back in line for the summer, you guys might notice how decipline all of a sudden drivers become after this "event" every year.lol
I'm good with this too. Over the weekend I saw three accidents...all happened at about 3-4kmh in parking lots. God knows what happens when the muppets get some momentum up.
Just for information sakes....all the accidents were old people not seeming to look or be aware of what was around them.

I have a serious "old koot" problem in my area, they simply aren't in control of the vehicle anymore, never use the side windows or mirrors, no turn signals, just point and shoot all the way to the drugstore!
They started it this past weekend. This way they can say they don't do it only on long weekends. I would say they will still hammer it the following weekend as well.
The "blitzs" and "RIDE" programs only at certain times of the year made me laugh when I came to this province. I was used to police doing their jobs any day of the week. Its just publicity and money/revenue gathering. When I first came here an people told me of the speed trap practice, I didnt believe them until I saw it for my self.
