hey OP,
I've done plenty of research for you.. you know, for science.
I take the 407 home everyday, I get on at Weston Road and I exit 427. Not a big trek at all, but for fun, I wanted to see what worked and what didn't. These are my findings.
• I've exited the 427 at well over 200km/h and I still got hit, so speeding is definitely out.
• I've tried the right curb on entry and exit. Sometimes I would get hit, sometimes I wouldn't. I would always attempt to get as close as possible. Either, way if you get caught on entry or exit, you will get billed. On your bill, there will be an * that says the camera's couldn't get a reading on either exit or entry so depending on what exit you exited/entered, they will bill you from the previous entry or exit point. Ex. If I snuck past the Weston entry ramp without getting caught, but I got caught on the 427 exit ramp. 407 will assume I entered on Pine Valley as that's the previous exit from the 427.
I never tried the left side curb but I've noticed that on some exit/entry ramps, the roads are wider and some are easier to evade then others. You'll have to do your research as well, you know for science to figure out what works for you or not.
I don't have a fender eliminator kit, my license plate it's pretty low and sticks out pretty far. I'm sure with some modifications to tuck the plate in, these evading maneuvers will yield better results but as I stated earlier, I'm not trying to rip the 407 off, just doing some edumacation. For science.
