Just with you're examples from you're own personal situations:My son has been in the car with me twice in car accidents someone else caused and just last week a pickup was literally going sideways, sliding towards my car because he was speeding, not paying attention and didn't realise traffic had come to a full stop. So sorry... but being in a car isn't any safer if you ask me!
I'm hyper-viligant when on the bike and quite frankly, it's the small size and maneuverability that's saved me more than once. Meanwhile, in my car I've been rear-ended a couple times (was stopped legally both times), had the scary close-call last week, had a cab driver with alcohol breath pull a u-turn right AT me and had a guy pull out and do an illegal left turn right in front of oncoming traffic and me. Here:s the point; you take out that you were in you're car and instead were in the exact same scenarios on you're motorcycle with you're child on the back, now would you have the same protection for both of you as in you're car? would you have had the same impacts or resulted in the same outcome being on you're bike in these situations, most likely not! and that's the point, we all know cars are dangerous, leas they offer more protection and you're chance of being ok after a fender bender much better in a cage then on a bike, that's the point, 2 completely different outcomes in the exact same scenarios,we are going to have a lot more automobile incidents, why?, because they are the primary sources of transportation and by the thousands outnumber the % of motorcycles on the roads daily. lets throw in some innocent kids in the mix.Recipe for disaster.-Ty
