Rented a VROD once in Florida. It was a sweeeeet ride. I could see myself owning one when I get old and retired, or as a second bike.

Funny...I could say the same about a bimmer.

I've ridden one...it's crotch bitingly uncomfortable. Not something I could ever see myself going long distances on.
It really felt like the worst of both worlds. That was definitely just me though.![]()
You must be short, or have short legs to crunch your crotch up on that bike.
Rode it for about an hour, thought it was super comfortable, and would love to to try a long distance on it just to see how comfy it really is.
Crazy acceleration and superbly nimble handling. Can't beat it on any other cruiser (or muscle cruiser) for an all around bike as far as I'm concerned.
As a person who has lost a few friends to the dark side be careful, this road you are heading down can be an expensive one. Do you look good in orange and black? I hope you do because your wardrobe is about to change, out with everything, in with HD branded wear ( my one bud even has HD pj's). Don't forget the decals for all your cages. Then there's the inevitable Sportster for the wife. And those things your friends ride, they're not real bikes, you can't be seen with them. They sound more like bumble bees than real bikes anyway.
Not true, for example I don't have a single Harley item other than the bike and of course the manual! And even of this true, well think of those items as equivalent to the decals on some sports bikes, you know the ones right? the extra 5HP decals
You still have not provided anything to back up your point. You have only made statements. And since you continue to be unable to come up with that metric cruiser for a 1/3 the price I keep asking you for, it takes away from the rest of your argument as it diminishes your credibility. I'd continue to offer you some tips on the finer points of debating, but I'm going to have to start charging you soon.
I have done my research...that why I bought a Harley. In the class of bike I bought it is heads and tails above the direct competition. Including the aptly named 800 pound behemoth, the M109.
Put down the haterade, do some research that isn't based on 1980's technology or that somebody from some internet website told you was true because his brother's brother's friend rode a Harley once and it sucked.
Are you done? Because this is now the third time you've posted since you said you were. I just want to make sure I come back for more entertainment.
I never attacked anyone personally, I was putting down HD for a lot of legitimate reasons.
If you really want to know, rather than turning this around and playing games of "prove it!" The following is a a spicy read.
Peace

I would actually compare those decals to the $2000 paint jobs of horses, dragons and fire balls that get painted on Harleys all the time. You know the ones that let everyone know your Harley isn't the same as the other million that were made.

Sweet...an opinion piece...that is based on the owner's experience of dealing with Harley owner's....with some quotes from the internet thrown in for good measure.
Quite frankly these aren't games of "prove it" as you state. You've made a supposed factually based statement yet continue to support it with opinion. This isn't Prove It...it's the foundations of debating. Which as I've noted above, I am more than happy to give you some pointers on.
Your original comment is still invalid based on this and I'm still waiting for that pricing information.
A Chevy Cobalt cannot and should not (and simply won't ever) be more expensive than a BMW. In other words, you're paying BMW prices for a Chevy Cobalt. You can't fool anyone but yourself.
Can you provide us with justification as to why HD put such premiums on their bikes? Based on what? Quality? Performance? Reliability? or simply an outstanding marketing campaign, brainwashing people who have a problem with reasoning and individuality.
No other company on this planet can get away with charging large amounts of money for inferior products and still stay in business. HD spend more money on advertising and marketing than Research and Development, and so far, history shows that they're getting their money's worth.
You're free to buy whatever it is you want, it's your money. But get your reality checked.
Inferior... seriously dude get your eye checked cause HD's are friggen hot.
I can't figure out why anyone would want most of the Harleys on the market today. All that chrome to clean and polish! Even if you're patient enough to do a decent job of it, when would you ever find time to ride it?![]()
The secret is lemon pledge. No joke.![]()
