Last year I bought the Cardo Scala QZ, it's your basic headset. Nothing fancy. If you're looking for a simple set up with bluetooth capabilities and the ability to listen to music then this is it. It's one of the cheaper options out there.
The speakers aren't the best though, but you pay for what you get. They do get pretty loud and at half volume they drown out any ambient noise (unless you have a loud pipe haha) The microphone is pretty good too, I haven't had any complaints when talking to people even on windy days and on the highway.
When you have your GPS running the unit will lower the music so you can hear the directions, so thats a nice feature. It also has auto-volume, so the audio increases if it detects a lot of wind noise or ambient sound ( you can switch this feature off).
It also has voice command capabilities so that you don't have to take your hands off the handle bars to answer a phone call. I found this feature to be useless at time, sometimes I would have to scream into the microphone for the system to recognize any commands. (again this is an optional feature you can switch off)
the unit itself is fairly simple to operate. It has two big buttons on the side for easy accessibility with gloves and pairing up different phones is pretty simple.
if you're just looking for a simple headset then I would give it a 8/10. It's worked great for me since I bought it and the price is manageable. Installation is a breeze, you have the option of either clamping it onto your helmet or attaching it with a sticky mount if your helmet doesn't work with the clamp. You get a fair amount of wire length for the microphone and the speakers.
I bought mine at royal distributing for $129.99 but that was on special.
Hope this helps!
