Yelled at for driving a truck. Hilarity ensues.

I've got one of those hippy tree hugger activist types as a neighbor at my dads place. Went to school with her actually.
Everyone in the family drives a truck, mine is made even worse on fuel with my lifts.
Every weekend there are guns/bows going in and out of the trucks as we go hunting and come back with the days catch.
I've had a few "politically correct" messages from her. And I keep rubbing it in her face. I think I spend more time enjoying the natural things from time spent sitting in trees and eating my organic wild meat than all these self righteous hippies.

Hello 911,

There's a mentally unstable women who stopped her car in the middle of the parking lot aisle and ran over screaming obscenities at our family. I've asked her to kindly leave us alone, but she insists on getting in our faces and she's woken my three year old daughter. Her license plate is ...

that's what i would have done

U should skin one in front of her and start having a 2 personality conversation in front of her

Comon now guys... use valuable 911 resources on this cow??? What would your grandpappy think?

Rev rev....

the guy asked her nicely to go away and she didn't ... i'd say that's harrasment, and remember this happened in the states, the land of litigation

His diesel obviously isn't loud enough.

Time for a 5" full stainless system.. and maybe a turbo upgrade and nitrous and propane injection while he's at it.

She is across the street, so the big bay window in their living room looks right down our driveway in to the garage... which is where we hang up the deer/bear/moose to skin it... Welcome to nature!

You're doing all wrong!
You're suppose to skin it like Predator and wear the head of the bear like the traditional natives

BTW, isn't eating animals shot with lead bad for you?

Well, the deer and bear we shoot with bows :)
The moose, while I COULD do it with a bow, that's usually a rifle's job.
For ducks and geese, you can no longer use lead shot within so far of a body of water, so now we use steel shot... Which absolutely SUCKS.

Do the ducks and geese find the steel shot worse as well?

Hahahaha, I did my PAL and they told us not to shoot in water too, lol.
How am I suppose to hunt ducks? Shoot it while in the air?

If you just wing them, they don't get lead poisoning.

Why not?

Ricochet

They also told me if I'm in the bush and someone fires at you, don't return fire!
Obviously I L-O-L 'ed :lmao:

Kinda hard to dissolve the lead into the bloodstream when the heart's not pumping anymore??

I actually would assume so... As the steel doesn't seem to penetrate that well, it just sort of knocks them out/breaks a few bones. Then as the dog goes out to get em, they either dive under and we lose em, or they somewhat fly off... But since the dog is out there, we can't pluck em again.
I've had a few where I nailed them in flight, feathers went flying, bird collapses, hits the water and taking that as a sign the bird is dead, I track to the next bird and take it down too... Then the "dead" bird gets up and flies off! It actually bothers me knowing it will likely die soon after.

Yup, the best part of it is shooting down a small, fast moving bird from a decent distance.
We try to wait for them to "flare" as they are going slower and are the most exposed. But, sometimes they are on the water when we take them.

Bird pellets are pretty small and since its a shotgun, there will be plenty of pellets. Its gonna be a pain in the arse to find all the pellets. Scattered all over the bird, but I'm no pro, maybe Mr medic can answer that.
