They do? Oh well, I do recall thinking "the secret must be out" a number of years ago because those seats were always taken by the time I was selecting mine. Emergency Exit is a surprise, since you're committing to being the last person off the place, which I'm not sure I would want to anymore.
Really? It may have been a while, but IIRC, the emergency exit row is able to get up and leave when everyone else does, unless that row is the last row on the airplane. But there are exit rows scattered all throughout the plane, not just the rear.

Sorry, I meant last of the people that are exiting through that door. Your commitment is to help everyone else out before yourself. At least that's what I remember from when I used to pay attention to the pre-flight safety instructions...
For your next Air Canada flight, use this seating chart to get the most comfortable seats, legroom, and recline on .

real example - I grabbed 41 a WIndow - don't have two people to clamber over and can sleep on my left shoulder...right shoulder is damaged from a come off. Downsides last in line for food but can order a special meal to negate that Notice these seats X are already grabbed even tho Nov flight across Pacific
Vancouver to Toronto tho took a seat closest to exit and on the aisle
787 V Dreamliner across the Pacfic and only 25 hours travel time coming back to Canada.. 777 Vancouver to Toronto - a plane I also like.
Back to Australia I'm 15 hours to Sydney from Vancouver ...ugh ..might try and change that tho 787 to Vancouver is a nice kick off.
Got my flight changed easy enough ...shorter via Brisbane ...same dates $175 Aus more.. worth it. Just have to wait 24 hours to change the seats on that segment. Used Expedia for the booking and the change - all done by text except they called for the payment...agent was excellent. Ended up with double 787s too coming home!
I use Expedia for TD to accumulate points for travel - works very well and now I have something I can use them on.
No, you're right. I was never asked to help anyone out the door. In fact, while the emergency exit row is wider than normal seating rows, it's still not large enough for two people - one person helping another exit the door. It's actually a bit of a safety issue to have one person blocking the row like that. In fact, you're actually the very first person off the plane and down the inflatable slide.
IIRC, they ask you two questions before they allow you to sit in that row:
- Can you understand instructions in English?
- Are you physically capable of pulling the handle, pulling the door inside towards you and placing it across the seats?
If the answer to any of the above questions was no, they relocated you and found someone else who could fulfill those duties.
I have always felt that dual sports were the best bike for noobs. They make great little street bikes. The only problem with them is that there are very few places to ride them legally off road.
First and only time I got first class (thanks to Ellis Don) the flight attendants plied me with red wine, I got fairly inebriated and ended up spilling my wine all over the place. Doh!
On most international first and business are the same seat bit nice goodies. After flying business class with the pod it makes anything else seem terrible. But I would also never pay full for the upgrade it cost me 250 extra on the flight to and from Bulgaria and was worth every penny.
