Was he blinded by the Chrome or something??

well when he confronted me he stayed on the sidewalk... when he threatened to take my pic I pointed out he was about to step on our property (2) what would be his justification... I did walk close enough because I couldnt hear him from where I was at...but I made sure to stay at least on my property with him on the sidewalk...And it sounds like you never allowed yourself to get too close to him and could easily have gone back inside if he approached.

No offence, but the way your post reads some dude was walking by your house and stopped to look at you're bike, at which point you assumed he was bad news, started taking pictures of him, and accused him of potential wrong doing because he "looked like he had no business on the sidewalk". All perceived "threat" is totally unsubstantiated beyond a hunch. In fact you use the word "threatened to take my picture", when all it seems he was doing was trying to reason with you about why you were taking his. I agree its good to follow your hunches, and that you didnt do anything wrong. However, I can easilly put myself in this guys position of walking about with his headphones on, and stopping to check out your bike. Then you emerge with your camera taking pictures of him and acting as if he is dangerous. I dont think its that strange that he confronted you about it - or even that he played the race card. Legally entitled or not, I would have a "WTF" attititude as well.
And editing my quote just because it doesnt fawn unconditional praise on you for being reactionary and paranoid is pretty lame. You asked for opinions not a rally in your favor.
Picture or video on your property, it's okay. Same thing goes with security cameras. As long as you don't post them, or do anything with them.
I actually meant to edit out the "kudos part" because I know it was a criticism. I didnt edit to make it seem you were siding with me... if you notice I deleted everything after the sentence I addressed. I just deleted it to make it shorter but didnt realize I didnt delete enough. My response was specifically to the sentence predicating it. Thank you for pointing it out I have corrected it.
youre right...he thought I used your quote as his to basically support me. He thought I paraphrased what HE said when he was the opposite thought...then realized I didnt and I was (1) thanking you or (2) didnt try and infer he was siding with me. he was nice enough to edit the criticism out?I thought my post was pretty clear that I supported everything the OP did. "kudos to you" wasnt anything negative : I always have thought giving "kudos" to someone was the same a congratulating them. If I'm wrong, I apologize...and now i'm going to find an internet dictionary!
I would except I am too lazy to try and photoshop/ blur his face... I only took the pic as a defensive method to ensure my bike wasnt gonna be messed with. its still fine so I dont feel right posting a pic of a guy who although ridiculously rude and insane is not guilty of anything?Yeah, post up the pictures so we can further analyze how exactly the guy was looking at your bike.
