After all the research that I've done about motorcycle safety. After going to the M1 exit course. After reading all the safety related posts on this forum. After spending so much money on my own gear. I was driving up Walker's line today and saw this. My question is, why did he even bother with the helmet?

kgreen - this forum is a lot more liberal about riding squid (versus ATGATT) than others, and threads of this nature will just make you want to take a baseball bat to your computer/laptop/tablet/mobile device/mother/pet goldfish.

I did mean to offend anyone. I actually didn't know what to say about it. It just seemed crazy to me at the time I wanted to share it.

Although I have to say that I'm surprised at some of the responses. Clearly a nerve was touched.

All forums have their beliefs - this one embraces a more moderate view i.e. freedom of choice, for example. On the other hand, if you were on the Gixxer forums (as an example), squids are, for the most part, laughed at, picked on, and publicly crucified via a picture thread (which is the belief of that forum).

I don't care about the horse being beaten....happens all the time here with new riders always joining.

To me...it's the equivalent of a cager telling me I shouldn't ride a motorcycle because it's dangerous. What do you tell a cager that says that to you?

If you want to wear all the gear all the time (ATGATT) - then go ahead....maybe I'll start taking pictures of ATGATT folks and post up. LOL

I saw a bicycle rider on the weekend...followed him down a hill at 60km/hour.

How come you don't go on bicycle forums and tell them to wear full leathers??
