Many Pacific rim countries have far greater gaps between rich and poor. Some live in squallor and it's easy for those a few steps up the ladder to develope a sense of superiority. "I live in a house so I'm important." They don't realize or care that here they're nothing special. The fact that they're a visible minority makes them stand out more than our home grown brats.

Pretty much all municipalities in the GTA are equally terrible. Some a bit more terrible than others.
