For all you people shopping online and getting the "we can not ship that item to Canada" BS. Check out www.cbiusa.com You set up a free account with them and they give you a physical address at their warehouse. You then have items shipped to your new address in Niagara Falls New York. Drive down and pick the stuff up, have lunch and drive home with your new goodies. They are located about 2km past the boarder, you pay them 5.95 USD or equivalent CND and thats it. I ordered an item from Revzilla with free shipping, slipped down and picked it up yesterday, too easy!

OH so worth it.
Better even still if you grab a few buddies, and take turns going down every few months to retrieve orders.
Get 4 friends, every 3 months has a scheduled pickup, MAN, these savings aren't going to spend themselves!!

when you cross US customs. do you just tell them you're going to cbi and pickup stuff? and on your return trip, if you tell canadian customs what you picked up, do they ask to see receipt and make you pay tax?

that's the idea, this time I declared a 40.00 purchase of a backprotector for my jacket and the guy just moved me along.

Www.myus.com is another one for those that can't get a cross the border, these guys will ship it to Canada. Based on the savings with free shipping in the USA it's not that bad.
3 hours is not the end of the world, especially if you want an item that can not and will not be shipped to Canada. It took me about three hours to make this pick up but that included a stop for a sit down lunch as well as some looking around Niagara Falls NY. Pretty depressed and not much to see on the US side.
Funny I have never experienced any hassles or major delays at any boarder crossing. Maybe I'm lucky but I have been travelling to the states for over 30 years and have never gotten a hassle, even when i was 18 years old and riding a ratty 1978 GS750E with a kerker exhaust and travelling with a couple of friends on similar machines. I make crossings at least 3 -4 times a season without indecent. I don't think they are goofs, they just have a job to do.
