Hmmmmmmmmmy new bike is an air cooled V-twin
pushrods, 2 valves, dry sump, separate transmission
what does that sound like?
there is nothing wrong with simple reliability
heritage and new technology are not mutually exclusive
Push rods infer cam in case, with a LONG valve train... which is heavy and in-efficient. Overhead cams are definitively BETTER.
2 Valves with 4.5" bore isn't enough to get modern performance. To get enough flow through two valves the valves and ports have to be HUGE, which doesn't help low end or mid-range AND packaging those great big valves means you got a HUGE combustion chamber, which doesn't help the cause.
Dry sump? 99.9% of motors these days have a"dry sump". You have REMOTE RESERVOIR dry sump though... which adds un-necessary weight and complexity to a simple motor.
Separate transmission, with a big heavy chain to drive it... gears are much more efficient, quieter and require less maintenance... and a separate transmission requires a separate case, adding more weight
... and you didn't mention the knife and fork con rods... that limit horse power and RPM
... and here's the BIG problem: There is no technology available today that will get a air cooled big twin past 2025 CAFE regulations. Too loud and too much emissions.
Sounds like a 1927 Ford tractor to me... except for the con rods. Even in 1927 Ford knew they were a bad idea.
Heritage is one thing, ignoring the advance of technology is NOT that thing.
If you want "heritage" get your self a 1966 Electroglide. THAT'S HERITAGE
You guys are just play acting "Heritage"
