Why Do You Ride?

What made you get into riding? Is it the enjoyment of being on two wheels? The cool/pick up chicks factor? Easier commute? Posing/Showing off?

Personally, I always wanted a motorcycle. I guess it was the "cool" factor for me at first, but after riding a few seasons, my outlook has certainly changed. I love being on two wheels, I love the "faster" commuting times, I love putting girls on the back, but I actually ride. I don't pose, you will never see me at a Tim Horton's shooting the ****. I work 6 days a week, so I take the opportunity to ride when it's available.

So, enough about me, let's hear a little about you.
Why do you ride?

I just started and am a few days in on my first time riding any type of motorcycle. Feels amazing to be so open and free. The sound of the motor underneath you, the enjoyment is a blast. Puts a permanent smile on even after you get off. Its an addiction

Just ask, "why do I breathe?" Grew up on Bikes and it's like a cowboy and horses.

Coz its so much fun
Like riding a bike except you dont run out of breath going uphill .
Never considered pickup factor ...
It feels so open and free

Why wouldn't you ride?? Freedom. I really enjoy meeting people and through this sport I've met a bunch of great ones. That and my cars can't do what my bike does.

I started off as a passenger. I loved the smell of air, thrill of speed, and that 'camping' feeling when doing scenic rides.
Now it's all those +freedom, and sense of control (as ridiculous as it might sound), and ... I'm addicted so it's also necessary to survive :-D

The thrill, the feeling of freedom, the power underneath you, it's one of the best things I've ever got myself into.

:Dspeeeeeeeeeed:D

Bikes are my drug of choice

I always wanted to be The Fonz.

I always felt a "calling" for bikes since a little kid, but never tried cz I was afraid I'd kill myself.

I have to say that it was one of the best things I ever did in my life... I love the excitement on two wheels and the feel of control. Still getting used to the speed thou.

In 2 words: Addiction/Hobby. Besides that I prefer it over public transportation, the faster commute, sound of the engine, ground moving below me, and of course the speed *rush*

I started riding back in the early '70s mostly because it was far less expensive than owning and operating a car. Once I started riding I was hooked and now I could not imagine not having a bike in my garage.
