I dont think there is an legal grounds, unless you state you wish the screws to all remain the same. If they change after that I can see having some recourse. Not a great move, but for the high majority of people, its not an issue... which doesn't make it right, but for me, it will never effect me as I never plan or want to go into my phone.

"Sadly, while sensational articles like Engadget’s and Mueller’s will get splashed all over the web and lavished with thousands of views and hundreds of comments, the boring truth will rate no such attention."

Thanks for the read. Google better hope the judges side with the articles view of things.
Sounds like much to do about nothing. The courts will sort it all out and we will see what happens.

Its the principal of the matter. Not the fact that it doesn't bother you because it doesn't concern you.
Imagine this scenario.....
If you took your motocycle into the dealer for service. When you go to pick it up, they change all the fairing screws to "pentalobe" type screws.
Ok, you can buy a new screwdriver, or, it doesn't bother you because you always go to the dealer for service anyway.
The principal of the matter is...... why would the dealer stoop so low to do this to YOUR bike?
You know very well, many people on this forum would scream bloody murder.
.
like motorcycles and computers???
