Why Android is better than iPhone.

I assume TV is next.

Rumours are that its been pushed to 2014, and only US release???

Samsung is already into TVs and well connected to the Android/Google machine, no doubt they will beat Apple to the punch anyways.

Apple is well on their way to becoming the next RIM if they keep up the shenanigans.

Apple is well on their way in releasing a new OS for Mac this month, that will make more than what that company is worth.

Don't put Apple and that company in the same paragraph anymore.

ewwww motoluxe

poor her, i hope you get to find a way to change that phone.

i doubt that phone will get jelly bean...mostly if its released with gingerbread in jan 2012 lol
wasnt it the one that had the facebook button ?

Not sure....and i also read bad reviews about that phone. Hopefully there is a way.
i don't think she cares, but come on...the phone comes with 300mb internal storage(a 2012 release, smartphone).

The company name that starts with an R. It's just that I think the name should be prohibited from this thread, that's why I don't even wanna mention it.

found this on a website, for those having issues updating their androids...

"Waited a day, but still no OTA, so I followed the framework killing trick:
1. Go into Settings -> Apps -> slide to 'All'
2. Click 'Google Services Framework'. Click 'Clear Data' and then 'Force Stop'.
3. Go back Home -> Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates. Click 'Check now'.
4. If you still don't get any update, go back to step 1 and repeat.
It took me only two tries, but some people have had to try ten times, so..."

We don't use stock OS. That's for beginners.
The benefits of Android comes from the amazing tweaking and customizations.
By customizations I don't mean int he Apple way of wallpapers.
Let me give you a small example since you seem to like tech.
We can just flash a new modem file in 30 seconds.
If you live in an area that has spotty coverage you can change the way the phone's cell modem/radio works to get better reception.
If you travel, you can just do a 30 second upgrade for the area you will be in.

Also get this, we can run 2 sim cards ( I think they have it for apple now).
We can also do native VOIP calling via wifi and or data.

thanks for the info, we are here to learn from each other, not bicker at each other.
i update the thread with useful info, apple or google stuff. Apple stuff i read about, and if i stumble upon something from google, i will add here too(i don't go looking for it).

i really wanna get an android device, because i wanna learn it(been saying it a long time now, but nothing at that moment, excite me to do so), hopefully the equiso(http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2028163448/equiso-smart-tv-turn-any-tv-into-a-smart-tv) can come fast enough, or maybe a nexus 7.

I don't think i can have an iPhone unless it is jailbroken, but whether or not the next iPhone is at first, i will be grabbing one as soon as i can get my hands on one, because it is newer than what i have now(iPhone 4), and iOS 6 will be a great addition.

in the meantime, i will be enjoying OSX Mountain Lion dropping anytime soon(maybe this week)....Airplay Mirroring the most from my Mac to the big screen, plus Airplay from my Mac to my surround sound when i DJ at home(no wires, phew).

Earlier, we saw how tough the Samsung Galaxy S3 was.......now it appears Nexus 7 tablet (Asus) build quality trumps the iPad. When is Apple gonna start producing tougher stuff esp at their price point.

drop and water test of the two......

I'm not an apple supporter, Android is my os by far,but that test isn't close to being fair. To me it looks like the Nexus 7 landed mostly on it's back, and the iPad landed on it's corner. It's obvious if the device lands on a corner it will sustain more damage.

Perhaps, but its becoming quite evident that Apple products seem to be getting more and more delicate with each evolution.

DAMN YOU APPLE, DAMN YOU TO HELL FOR CHANGING THINGS

BASTARDS WON'T LET ME CHARGE MY iPHONE4S WITH MY APPLE III CORDS!@

I dont get why they just dont go to USB n keep it within standards, always trying to be difficult ...

Because mini-USB connectors are flimsy garbage! They work decent for cameras that you plug in every other month... but for phones that travel in cars and get plugged in daily (or more)??? GAH-BAGE

I don't know why they're changing the connector they already have though... it locks nicely, its sturdy, and its reliable for years and years.

Perhaps they'll be introducing a mag-safe adapter akin to the macbook pros. Have I mentioned that Apple has the best chargers, cords, and adapters in the world? No? Well I am now. Mag-safe is a thing of beauty.
