I'll post a departing shot and maybe a shot or two at stops along the way. I'm gonna stay isolated as I've been home with my wife while she recovers from O, sorry kids -- no candycanes are being handed out this year.

I'm not a moto vlogger so there won't be anything for youtube.

How often are you in St Marys? It's on the farm of a wealthy contractor just outside of town. They also have a Smartcar with tracks mounted at each corner.

Not ever really, I went there this past riding season for the first time. Plan to go back to that area though as it was a quick pitstop.
But now I know about this I will make sure I go back! :)
 
Got out for a nice little Christmas Day ride to drop off some gifts. Beautiful temperature, but roads were definitely pretty wet.

If the sun decides to come out for a bit today I might go for a little scoot...just because.
 
I finished off my 2021 Riding season yesterday, Dec 31. By the end of the day yesterday I managed to get a total 57,670 km or about 34,834 miles in 2021.

I started my 2022 riding season today, Jan 1, 2022 with a little 220 km ride before the snow hits.

Yes I bought my current bike July 1, 2020. It currently has 82,627 km on it. The bike I replaced was a 2015 and it has 235,000 km on it. I'd still be riding it if I didn't like the improvements on my current bike.

I fired up all the bikes today (I don't use tenders), took 3 of them around the block, and let another warm up in the garage (no ins on that one). I don't bother with the kick start bikes, I keep their batteries inside.

I don't usually ride below 5c this time of year-tires and black ice- I figure 12 weekends from now I'll be riding daily. Can't wait.

If you are going to fire up your bike you really should ride it at least 30 mins. Otherwise it might not have enough time to charge, plus you can cause acids to form in the oil and exhaust.

My bikes all put out 14+v at idle (even the 75) so once they are going they are charging. By the time they are warm they have replaced 30 days of standing discharge.

Acid in the oil is not an issue, moisture in a steel exhaust is. All my bikes have SS exhausts, except the 75 Honda, which has weep holes so I'm good!
 
I didn't have a ton of time today but got out for a little ride late this morning. Didn't go far, only about 120 km. Temps mainly in the -8 to -6⁰c range. Nice to get out! (Picture was just after leaving home in Port Perry.)
