Counting down till mid march

Should be at least somewhat reasonable by then

Not today, I stuck to the beaten path. I usually ride the dirt sideroads and concessions, but they're all a sloppy mess.

Yeah I figured if the gravel roads weren't all muddy they'd be snow and ice covered so just took Webb and then main roads.

Need a Feb break ..moving house and have to get the CBF to the new place ..today would have been perfect :(
Can't get access til Feb 1 .....making burnt offerings to the weather gods for a warm Feb day.

Damn thing seems busted.

if they reverse net neutrality I might at some point consider moving to the states for work/life, perhaps somewhere warm where riding season is year round....

Damn ....it's kinds nice out but smells like winter still.. 5 is just borderline for casual jaunts.
I think my window has closed anyway as I had to shop. Just focused on getting all the bike gear and the CBF to the new place in 2 weeks.

Nice weather, but all the nice warm southern locals seem to come hand in hand with the reality that your house gets burned to the ground/blown away/flooded/insert-natural-disaster-here every 3 or 4 years.

We may live where the wind hurts our face, but at least the weather is boring comparatively. I'll take that.

You're missing out, PP. The roads between Pickering and Port Perry are clear and essentially dry, very little water.

Ugh, yeah...it's just the local roads around here that are still a mess. As much as I'm an advocate for winter riding, I like to do it when I know its not going to slop up the bike with briny water, and reality is that inside the first 1/2KM from my driveway I'd have been a mess. I went out in the car both yesterday and today trying to scope out a way out (or at least back TO if I washed the bike before returning home) my subdivision without getting the bike slopped up..and there was no options.

Went out for a little ride today. I had to go to Newmarket on an errand so just went up to Keswick and along the shoreline.

The roads were pretty good for the most part and it felt quite nice when the sun as out.

Lot's of people on Lake Simcoe.. mainly ice fishing.

I was hoping to get out for a ride on Saturday but unfortunately didn't get home until the sun was starting to set and the temperatures were starting to dip so I opted to stay home.

Yesterday I did get out for maybe an hour ride. My new long underwear made a big difference in keeping the core toasty. The grip on the roads was not the greatest, as expected, so had to adjust the riding. Power induced wheel spin isn't usually the SV's forte but it was easily attainable with more power and less grip in the cooler temps. It felt great to be out riding. Hopefully there are more of these days in the near future.

I actually dislike riding like this...

such a powerful bike, that you have to baby the entire time...

bad road conditions and freezing temps = make me miss summer even more.

Didnt even bother, didnt want to clean her for a 1 hour romp.

*looking out the window* Oh it's crap...let's read a book.:(

It’s 7° here with no wind...and the sun just came out - if it stays out for an hour or two and dries the roads off today’s my day.

The garage door is up.....

Weather has been taunting me..

I was going to ride into work this morning. Combination of Fog, ice on roads warnings, temperature to be dropping as the day progressed and even perhaps some snow made me take the car.

right now sun is shining here at work. :(

That’s me right now versus an hour ago. Sun is gone, clouded over completely, and no chance the roads are drying now.

Might ride my wife’s Vstar around the block just to say I rode. ;)
