When I was just a kid I caught my finger in the chain of a homemade mini bike. Got about a third of the way around and stalled the motor. Had to wait patiently while my dad got tools from the neighbour to undo the chain. It's very faint but I can still make out the scar.
I have an older Mastercraft air powered angled clipped head nailer. Not sure if this is why but the "angle" specified is slightly different than the normal one (ie it is not 34 degrees) every once in a while it will fire two nails at once (if using the 34 degree nails).
From what I can tell, the new ones are 34 degrees, but check this....
For a few years the manufactures tried to make proprietary 'angles' so you had to buy thier nails. This backfired a bit as air tools gained ground and you didnt want to be the carpenter that had a 32d gun and went to frame a cottage in Muskoka and all the local places inventoried 34d. I have a framing gun thats 28d , not sure I could find ammo for it.
Toenailing was really hard with the lower angle gun, Bostich and Hitachi make really nice coil guns , compact and light , but the nails are expensive.
In a constant search for driver bits that don’t burr and round off screws I have a very healthy collection of these things. However, I have recently come to the conclusion that the source of these events isn’t the driver bit, it’s the idiot using them.
This weekend I also again forgot the old adage that “slow and steady wins the race” by torquing the head off 4 tapcons and ruining 4 others trying to get a hose reel attached to a wall.
Mine was a perfect combination of user error and impatience….one tapcon wasn’t going in fast enough for me so I upped a torque setting which then sheared the head off. I figured I’d be able to use that setting again with a little more care but I was very wrong. Two others were holes not drilled deep enough so the tapcon bottom out and then just ground brick out and rotated freely. Just stupidity really.

Impact rated and also driver them with an impact driver not a screw gun. And yes the drill size is very important, that’s why TapCon sells thier own bits .
And tapcon is a brand , there are many Chinese knockoffs , they may not perform the same .
Milwaukee or Dewalt driver bits are worth the extra money , leave the box of 50 assorted right where you saw them.

Funny you should say that as these were “cobra” (?) brand from Rona as I couldn’t get tapcons from there. I wonder if that’s why I was having ****** luck.
To improve my welding I made a trip to Princess Auto and bought a couple of new grinders. To finish off a project the target was an electric die grinder as my compressor wouldn't run my air one.
While there I saw a 4" angle grinder with speed control so I bought it as well to supplement my other brand name fixed speed ones. The dial-a-speed worked well. $100+ and the project has moved onto the next step. Now to make a 100:1 gear reducer.
My latest addition to my Bosch 18v eco system.... It comes with two 8Ah batteries and costs less than two 8Ah batteries. I was in need of some higher capacity batteries as mine were all 4s and 2s that came with other tools.
Now I need to find some reasons to drill holes in concrete....

Normal SDS+... drill mode, hammer drill mode and hammer only mode.
I did pick up a Bosch SDS Max vacuum attachment, HDC300 (reg $140, clearance for $30). Technically it is not for this unit but if I remove the side handle it does work I have lots of tile to remove, a basement floor to open (might be too much for it, we will see) and I might try it demoing some Rock Lath walls to bring down in sections, that stuff eats blades.
